Eagle Pack Large/giant Breed Puppy Formula
KitKat replied to Miranda's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Holly has had good experiances with the Advance Large breed puppy, unfortunately she's modded at the moment, it could be worth PM'ing her ? As to the Eagle Pack large/giant breed...all i have read is what is on their website...which of course says "fantastic stuff" Does EP have the 'Palatability guarentee" (sp) that the other super premium foods have? (Eg if not happy take left over food and reciept back to store for full refund) -
For the $10 at a produce stores etc i think you get a 500gm bag...but yeah...chemists are apparently having to be very careful with the stuff.

Your best place would probably be produce stores and horse type stores...

Tea Tree In Dog Shampoo And Conditioner.....

TeaTree oil is fine if diluted...used straight is a big no no. All in all Lavender oil is a better alternative. -

I tried BARF with my GSD but it didn't agree with him as he started losing condition, and i had to feed huge amounts just to keep some weight on him. Tho i do recommend BARF (along with SP kibble) in my work if asked to recommend other foods etc. And along with TA i 'add' most of what you had listed to my dogs food...jsut not at the same time. -
If you do a quick search on this forum on KC you'll get several threads that go into the in and outs of KC including several things to ease the problem etc.
-
If you do a search in this forum you should get roughly three good ones :D
-
If you keep to the 'working' dog formulas he should do better. Also Royal Canin 4300 or 4800 (working types) if you want to stick with the 'super premium' types. Otherwise a mix of puppy kibble and adult kibble might be a way to go? Lamb and chicken pieces are good for putting on weight. The satin balls are great and can put weight on a dog within a few days...not sure if that's what you are after tho? ETA - When i was trying BARF i couldn't feed enough to keep weight on my dog :D i had to feed huge amounts just to keep him from looking starved Which was a shame - but it's all good as i have other choices

You might have to look at changing her diet? it could be an allergy?
-
Also with the dinosaur bones just keep an eye on the pups/dogs teeth...teeth have also been known to break etc while eating these type of bones
-
Personally i'd ditch the rice, they get enough of that kinda stuff from the kibble. Also there's nothing wrong with the pup getting an egg once a week, and some smooshed vegies throughout the week as well...Perhaps add some natural yogurt throughout the week as well... As least that's how i'd be going along those lines...

The Mars people i spoke to at the Caboolture Expo said they'd not be returning to the Brissie PetExpo this year as it wasn't finacially viable...

Mooper has been good enough to put up the link Thanks for that, saved me looking It takes little to no pressure to run it thru the dogs coat...and that's all you do...no pulling no tugging no nothing I've already dragged my new one all over my GSD Got lots of coat with no effort at all :nahnah: Also i was chatting to the seller and he was saying that they offered to brush out a husky one day (at shows they often request a 'volunteer' dog to brush out to show how well the coat kings work). The owner said that if the dog became even lightly uncomfortable, eg comb tugged at all etc, that the owner would know...why? because the dog would start screaming! Well...after getting like 4-5 bags full of fur out of the dog the owner still hadn't heard a peep from the pooch. Dog was happy and the owner walked away with a cooler dog and about $60 odd less in money..lol.

I know you can buy new blades...they cost about $33 depending on the size etc.
-
I also have the 18 and that was recommended by the Mars suppliers at a pet expo. Winterpaws - the 18 blade is apparently the one that will suit the Mal's as well...at least that's what the supplier told me ;)
-
Just curious to see what people think of them? Also if you can post what breed of dog you use your coat king on?

Perhaps put her food down spread out on a flat dish? that also tends to slow the gulpers down

I'd consider starting to add a little plain yogurt to his dinner each night.. -
What Brand Of Commercial Dry Food To Feed?
KitKat replied to DogsLover's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
As to meat etc being the 'first' ingredient...a lot will depend on if they weight the meat mulch wet or dried...eg if they weigh it wet it will of course be heavier, then they dry it and it gets mulched in with the rest of the mix. If they weigh it dried it will of course weigh a lot less, and then it's just mulched in with the rest... Not that i'm knocking Supercoat...just saying the first ingredient isn't always the thing to trust
