Hehehe they do tend to chose the worst times to do such things!
-
Must admit...i tend to go "eewww" at Sabe a bit...unfortunately all that does is makes him roll over to give me a better view :D Guess that's better then him trying to hump me or other objects in my house But he has managed to keep his leaking outside...for the most part at least :p
-
Thank Dog it's not just Sabe!! :D
-
Oh...it could be worse TD...Sabre sometimes gets so excited he 'leaks' and it's not pee....
-
I think they 'get over it' a bit by the time they are meant to be considered mature...maybe... All i know is at the moment...anything and everything turns Sabre on...being let inside the house, being let out of the house, leaves falling in the backyard, the earth turning on its axis... :D
-
Umm...how to put this...the penis tends to darken, swell and go lumpy when they are...excited...Currently Sabre the pup is showing himself off in this condition every chance he gets :D ETA - Sabre would probably be quite happy to have a pic taken of himself to compare :p

Bahahaha...WEIA...would you believe i've been asked twice! Mind you...they can't match Gov't for pay...lol. As long as they have your details etc...you just never know Tho i do know a few people that have also applied/shown interest - and they are in the promotor field already... Back on topic tho...lol, Another fish based food is ProPlan Sensitive which is based on Salmon which might be worth a shot if you can't get the fishy EP. -
Thanks for the website WP I've added them to my favs for future spending - but what i'm after at the moment i think the Palisade pack is perfect

Mandarins Is It Ok For A Dog To Eat A Little Bit
KitKat replied to SueM's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
My Bronx loves mandies as well...not sure how much is his liking the fruit...or liking anything i'm eating They also pick off the passionfruit off my vine and eat out the insides...i keep mowing up empty shells -
I'd say ice is perfectly fine, but rawhide isn't always great for young puppies as they haven't the what they need to digest them properly. I gave my dogs pig ears fairly early but waited till they were about 6 months before giving them actual rawhide.

Currently looking at good ways to carry extra water for the dogs on long walks, hikes etc etc... Looking at either backpacks for the dogs which includes a bladder or two, such as... from SitStay.com This is currently my fav...lol. But also considering perhaps those collaspable bottles that can be popped into a normal dog back pack as well as the one i will carry. Perhaps extra bladders? Anyway...any extra ideas? Anyone else out there do long walks etc and has worked out a suitable way of keeping all involved hydrated? My old boy Harm used to happily wear his backpack...and carry bits and pieces but we never went on particularly long walks, or at least where there weren't taps along the way etc. So kinda curious....did a google search and can't find the dog hydration packs in Aus...so currently looking at all sorts of options. ETA - wow Check these out! - for those dogs who have access to snow :D K9 Overcoat

Need A Dry Food With No Chicken Or Pork
KitKat replied to bowser's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Interesting what the vet said about packaging labels...i was of the understanding that due to Australian Laws all ingrediants have to be listed in order of amount. Can sometimes be a matter of working out what the technobabble means tho... -
Unfortunately...both my dogs have gotten into this stuff - both as pups. Bronx managed to eat a reasonable amount and Sabre got a couple of mouthfuls - both different times. Each time i made up a mix of milk and beaten egg with a dose of catlax in it...gave them as much milk and egg mixture as they could drink - that way the silica soaked up the milk which inturn coated the tummy etc...and the catlax sped up the process of getting it thru their system...lol. Both are still alive and well so...

New Prong/pinch Collar Styles?
KitKat replied to KitKat's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Steve it's looking like you'll have to put out a DVD on the subject of "Training with a Prong/Pinch Collar" ETA - FreyaJade - the reason why i like the first quick release collar is i'm not worried about the snap releasing to easily...because of one of hte dogs i've seen it on - basically if he could have walked/pulled thru it he'd be the dog to do it - as it is he can ignore the prong when he wants - and my pair of GSD's aren't as....willful...as he can be...lol. So if it can stay on that boy then i know it wouldn't be a problem with my pair. -
It will be a great couple of days people!!! Pity I'm now working
-
OK...with the carrot...my dogs prefer me to peel them...lol Not too much dried liver...just treat amounts as it is very rich and can give them the poops. Frozen wings are fine...just keep an eye on the pooch while they are eating it. A small egg for a small dog...usually once a week is fine but my dogs will often get them twice a week or so depending on how many eggs i have around You can even give them the egg shell

What Gear Do You Have For Your Dogs?
KitKat replied to KitKat's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Squeak - the Aussie dog ones only come in two colours...green for the big one and white for the smaller one... -
I feed Royal Canin mainly...but the boys generally get a side of either meaty bones, dog roll and occasionally as a treat a bit of Natures Gift. Out of the tinned foods it's the only one i'd recommend - but generally i'd not feed it as a complete diet But there's nothing wrong with it as a bit extra to add to their dry food
