  1. Redgum Kennels, Brisbane make their own...and they look fantastic!
  2. That's probably the go Before ordering any cat kibble i'd prefer to try samples - otherwise i'd have to get lil bags and then hopefully order bigger bags later. I know the dogs will eat what they are given and could probably just order a batch - but they don't go thru the stuff quickly so i'd be more likely to be ordering more in the way of cat food.
  3. Not sure if you have done it already...but did you put the multiple choice option on the poll? ETA - I'd be interested in trying more then one of the above for example...as much for cat food as dog food.
  4. I'm curtainly in for samples - the cat and dog ones would be great! If other brands are being considered i'd also be interested in purchasing samples of those - once again for cats and dogs. Mind you I probably go thru more kibble for the three cats then i do for the two GSD's
  5. Coooooool One other thing to check may be Customs - with the import duty? ETA - i'm wondering if it would be worth your while to get an ABN and become a distributer for the product? that way you may be eligible for tax concessions/rebates?
  6. So with the 'commercial' that's the same as wholesale?
  7. I'd certainly be happy to put in money for samples to start with! ETA - i think their samples are half price at the moment as well!
  8. Beef is fine If you think she might be sensitive to it bring it in gradually and see if she has any reactions etc. But other then that...Beef is just fine
  9. There are a couple of dog foods i'd be curious about - the fish and chips/lamb rice and millet/Drywater - as well as the normal cat one. But i don't go thru dry food particularly fast these days. I wonder if they'd be willing to send samples over? Last bag of cat food i tried without going with a small bag first the cats turned up their nose at Unfortunately i had already tossed the bag and put the food into a container so i couldn't even return it...lol...good thing the dogs liked it!
  10. I tried a husher...if i looked the other way Sabre would take it off...no matter how tight i made it! So he only didn't bark if i was watching him....and he wouldn't bark while i was watching him anyway! But yeah...i wouldn't leave a dog unsupervised in a Husher - actually says on the packet for the dog to be supervised while the husher is in use i think.
  11. Go the lamb ribs/flaps You can even cut down the meat between the ribs to give him 'snack sized' pieces. Chook frames are also good - same with maryland pieces
  12. Oooo...the Drywater one looks pretty good!!! so does the cat food for that matter! Depending on price i might be interested if you get some in...lol. It might be worth starting up a new thread about it in the health forum Also...if the SC is only a small percentage of what you are feeding per meal then it won't make much of a difference...no matter if you were using top of the range or Pal. Your dogs good condition would be based on the meal mix since that is what they are predominantly fed
  13. Yup...if you want her to learn to eat her kibble...then you have to cut off all her other food and treats - she could well be eating enough to keep herself satisified thru threats and bones and necks...and so not wanting the kibble because she's not hungry or because she's thinking of what else she could con out of you.
  14. No chance of them having been bitten by something?
  15. Fingers are crossed here for you Peibe!
  16. I've read some things that say treat all pack members under your rank the same - and let them work it out themselves. You pat whoever you decide first, you feed whoever you decide first etc etc I've read some things that say treat them in regards to rank in the pack - you pat the top dog first and then the rest in order, you feed the top dog first and then the rest in order etc etc And i've read other things that are a mix of the above etc etc So..what do you do? and what do you think is more correct? and why?
  17. No potting mix that they might have gotten into? That can sometimes cause problems because of the mold and fungi that inhabit it?
  18. No changes to water? they haven't had access to bad water? Some kind of gastro bug perhaps? Hope the vet finds something and the Pei's are on the mend soon!
  19. Shmoo...are you talking about the lumps that rise a third of the way down the shaft when the dog has a happy? or the actual testicles? And i fifth or sixed the suggestion of it just being the swelling after the desexing op ;)
  20. I have a petsafe one and found it very good...as long as it was in the right position - and stayed in the right position. It works on sound and vibration from memory - so growling in play/drinking etc wouldn't set it off, nor would other dogs barking etc.
  21. Royal Canin, Hills, Euk, ProPlan all have a palatability guarentee as long as you keep the receipt - you just take the bag back to the store - mind you if it's almost empty you may not get your money back...lol. Not sure in regards to EP/Nutrience etc
  22. Were you needing a dryer for the day itself? or prior to the day to get your BC ready? It's just that Petwise (Macgregor and Cannin Hill) have onsite DIY hydrobaths and dryers etc available ...not sure if that would be of help?
  23. Aaahhh ok...sorry about that...work won't let me open the links - will have to wait to read them when i get home.
