The dogs aren't from straight wolf or Czech's, 1/4 wolf to GSD crosses are allowed in Aus, or at least QLD and some were brought in a number of years ago by a breeder up the coast. They've been working with the lines for a while and i'm guessing these two dogs lines go back to them or something similar.

They aren't necessarily put up as SAR - the lad has had a lot of tracking training etc and i just put it up as a possibility. They are fine with people, just initially shy rather then aggressive or overtly friendly as i understand it. The girl is more forward and comes across as more confident initially then the lad. They do need to work tho rather then be a yard dog or once/twice a week with basic obedience etc

Hopefully i can put this here! The lad is a mix of Dingo, Timber Wolf, GSD and Mal who is approx 2 year old, and has had tracking experience and considerable like training. The daughter of this lad is also available, she would have the same mix, however we think the mother was pure Shepherd. She is approx 9-10 months old, but she wouldn’t really be suitable as a family pet, so again maybe an experienced couple, or someone wanting a dog to train. If someone is interested please pm me and i'll pass on the details further details and if still interested will pass on details of my friend - she's not the breeder/owner of the dogs (is in Brissie), but has personally assessed the lad and is liaising on behalf of the owner. Just so people know...if you were using ProPlan Salmon because it was wheat free and have notice a change in your pooch recently, it could be the food - they have changed their ingredients and it now contains wheat apparently.

Apple cider vinegar will also help a hell of a lot - dogs and people!

Sorry to get back to late to this one - didn't see that someone had asked me a question!! Yes...i have used Redgum Kennels for both dogs and cats - i've used them on and off for a number of years now and have always been happy with their service, kennels, cattery and treatment of my pets. I've usually also paid the lil extra for obedience training for my dogs when they are there - not because they necessarily need it, but i figure it's something extra to work their brains.

Have you tried Redgum Kennels?

I wouldn't do that as they may never see the money that's owed Chances are they will never see the money anyway - but at least they won't have to cover the cost of continued care of the horses.

GSD's have already been banned once in this country...having it happen again isn't such a stretch

Seems amusing that it's possible that i may no longer be able to own a GSD, but my getting a LGD will be fine At least i can still foster GSD's from work if it comes to that

I don't support the ban, and i have tried the prong collar on myself. I don't advocate the prong collar for every dog - but as with all things it's not the training tool that is usually the problem but how the person at the other end of the lead uses it.

Basically everything before the fat/oils ingredient is what the bulk of the food is made up of. The next thing to remember is that'meat being the first component isn't always 'great' as many companies list their meat while still fresh...eg 70% (or whatever it is) water...others weigh/list the meat once dried and a lot lighter!

Some are family dogs in the burbs. Some are terrorising their owners on their way to get to the meterman (private joke from the LGD forum). Some are patrolling open range in the middle of nowhere. Some are dual citizens, night time with the chickens, day time with their family. ETA: Looks domestic to me - Last seen at Parkdale Beach Cafe, enjoying orange cake and cream: I am intending to put my name down for one of Lilli's "working dogs" - with him being a family dog in the burbs with a bit of showing and chook watching to do as well. This will all be a little while off yet - another dog now would be too many for me. But Lilli knows her dogs and pups and i wouldn't be sent a lad that just wants to spend his day patrolling - even if it meant i had to wait for another litter.

He could be including pups as well in his count - 8 bitches, each with a litter of 8 pups, 8 sires and a couple of old relic dogs wandering about the place - easily 84 dogs on the gound... He could have a number of them being livestock guardians each as a group out with their flocks - not in his yard etc ETA - does the OP know what type of dogs he has? could be a greyhound kennel, could be anything!
