  1. We feed acombination of Eagle Pack Holisitc (different varities to vary on a daily basis) also feed raw which includes lamp flaps, chicken ppieces, beef, offal, vegie and fruit mix, yoghurt, eggs, sardines etc. Of course not all at once, I feed dry in the morning (half what is reccommended) and the other mix at night. Have done this based on breeders reccommendation, reading the BARF books and info supplied on DOLS :-) and research I keep the dry because I am not yet confident in my abilities to completely go raw.
  2. Thanks. BC white is always this white after a wash and here I was buying special whitening shampoos for my cats!!!!!! OH couldnt beleive how white he came up without using and whiteners :-)
  3. Forgot to say (or maybe I did before if so sorry) but my OH has a reaction from a white tail spider bite going back over ten years. After trying EPO on dogs I suggested he take EPO human capsules, well he didnt want to do that so we break them open and put onto the back of his skull where the sores are and rub in every night, he also uses the dogs EPO shampoo and the difference is amazing not completely gone but so much better and not as itchy...this after yearws of trying everyting possible including visits to drs!
  4. Hi Westiemum We are all doing fabulously! Am nearly out of EPO shampoo so am going to order the 5 litre for the pups. I use it on the sheperd aswell. It does seem to be a reaction for the BC as whenever he is wet from rain or fresh cut grass he gets a slight rash but the shampoo is keeping it all under control. His coat is coming back and he looks fab. Have decided not to change the shampoo to Royal Jelly (will use this on persians only) but keep them both on EPO. Only on weekly baths now with a spray of conditioner in the middle of the week. Have attached a pic of them after their hydrobath this morning.
  5. HI I am looking for a really good obedience club here on the cc. I seem to be having trouble googling any and I know they are here just need to know where and when so I can go and have a gander. Would prefer one that doesnt insist one uses food treats as a reward as our lot respond really well to praise thus far :-) Thanks in advance
  6. Excellent I shall check out her web again, thanks Wylie
  7. Thats what I was thinking. ALso thinking I can use the RJ on my persians
  8. I bought the 500ml EPO Shampoo and spray conditioner and supplement. The difference in my pups is amazing. Am thinking I should buy the bigger containers though, but will wait a bit if there is a big rush on, havent run out yet. Am guessing I now need to change to the Royal Jelly Shampoo since the itch is gone or can you continue to use EPO after it has all cleared up?
  9. So OH was bitten by a white tail years ago and has break outs on the back of his scalp so am considering giving him the EPO Shampoo to try, anyone else tried this? Dogs are doing well on it.
  10. Im on NSW Central COAst and mine took 3 days :-)
  11. We are only on our 2nd week and we love it. Pup still scrathces now and again but it is not as dark and ahir is coming back.
  12. Hi VD Didnt get out to look today but remembered for the interim I have a manual mincer like my gran used to have, forgot about that one mmmmmmm not sure how the arm muscles will cope with all that handle turning though. Am watching a couple on ebay aswell. Hope you found something good! When I was still feeding vegies/fruit to Bean in his patties, I found it easy to blend them in my Ronson by starting with the wet stuff and then slowly adding small portions of chopped vegies/fruit until it was all done. I always ended up with a puree that looked and smelt like grass!
  13. I have ablender too but found it wouldnt do the vegies too well, it is a Breville aswell. Ive been after new one now I havea good reason to get it :-)
  14. Yes I did when I realised you didnt mean all cats jsut ones that have never had it done before :-) You've just answered your own question EFS
  15. Thank you am going shopping tomorrow to see what I can find
  16. Ok yes OH better go onto corner now me thinks :-) Am guessing perhaps the Breville 800 wouldnt really be much different to others in the shops?
  17. Ok thanks I found it. Well I dont think its overkill when you are doing it for a long time. I only have the 2 pups but if I were a breeder or had more than 2 I would lok at something like that, still might....do I need to put OH on the corner to pay for it?????? Only kidding I dont have that much time :-) A lot of people use all of it CM but I prefer not to feed a sloppy mix. It's the pulp that has the value in terms of roughage. I had a Breville Juice Fountain but found it really didn't have the horsepower for the amount of stuff I was juicing and it found pumpkin hard going. I now have a commerical juicer like this: That's probably overkill for most people but having such a powerful juicer has halved the time I spent juicing veggies for mixes and it powers through stuff like pumpkin.
  18. I agree with you Cowanbree. I have persians and exotics and a mainecoon, used to have birmans and all of them are used to it and never had to be sedated. Of course when talking about a cat that perhaps has never had that kind of noise when being done I can see how it would be cruel and can see how some may need a sedative. I start mine and now I have with the pups in the laundry tub or sink and use a hand blowdryer then we progress to the bigger shower hose thing and onto the big dryer. Obviously cats and dogs that are really matted etc would need a sedative to be able to help them.
  19. Thanks. So you dont use the juice in with the mix just the pulp then? I have been using all of it?
  20. I was just making a fresh batch of veggie mix for the dogs and broke my mincer, its a Kenwood. Was wanting to know what others use to mush up their mixes please ie blender, mincer (so you get pieces just not big ones) chop up themselves? Also what do you add to it? Cheers
  21. If they have never had it done before they will be scraping the cat from the walls and your body. If they are used to it well thats ok. Mine get done with a high pressure shower hose thing and then go under the big Simpson dog dryer heaps noisey. Perhaps suggest they use the hydrobath that way they get mauled and not you :-)
