  1. There are products such as Stay off the Garden, Piss Off etc that you can get from pet shops that will aid in training him not to go on the cobblestones. What sort of puppy is Patch. Is he cold when he goes out in the rain if so put a coat on him. If he always pees at that time, try feeding him earlier and only give him a little water in the evening so that he can get used to going earlier or later. Be consistent, keep training and he will get there, if you want you can try giving him a training pad in the house to use if he does not like storms. I have had dogs for over 30 years and usually find that only 1or 2 in that time do not like going in the rain, but with consistency and lots of praise they can be trained it just takes time.
  2. Hi maggiebear If treats or food is not working have you tried her favourite toy, otherwise take the other dog through and stay outside with it without making a big fuss of her coming through, never feel sorry for her and never give up the best way is to just go outside and stay there she will eventually want to join you. Don't tie up the flap as this just makes her not want to try because she knows that you will give up and tie it up. Ignore her if she doesn't come out, by making a big deal of it you are encouraging her to believe that it is a big thing. Hope this helps.
  3. I agree with the above in regards to certain cleaners, you can also try dishwashing liquid for cleaning up the carpet as when it dries it does not leave any odour behind. Keep up with the training as sometimes it just takes time to really set in, have you tried the training pads, they are scented so that once the dog uses it they encourage them back to use again and just gives another area that the pup can use when inside.
