WOW what a beautiful pack of newfies and that boy is HUGE!!!!!!!!! Thanks Gaylek I love them too The first and only litter I had was a puppy with half a tail everyone asks the owners if I docked his tail, they have even argued with someone who insisted I must have docked it....maybe they should just tell them he's an Aussie and save the grief

In the dark maybe. Its funny thought they all move differently, have different carriages, head shapes, markings, tails and sounds so I can tell who's who across the paddock or usually in the dark (they all have different coat textures and sleeping possies too : ) Lots of people have trouble telling them apart. Would be like me with 5 black and tan dobes tho.... I'd have no idea for a while I think dog people pick up whos who quicker so wouldnt take you long.

No I never get them mixed up

Here is my Family portrait...we were going for county casual I have attached Ginger my shadow seperately as she was chewing her butt and when I called her to get her attention she toddled over to me instead of posing

I have 5 berners, they cope as well as any hairy dog in the heat. I have a huge pergola and when its hot husband will come home at lunch time and put them inside in the airconditioning. They dont like heat much but no worse than any other breed. We are pretty vigilant in the heat but would be with any dog I guess.

What is the difference between a Canon lens with IS USM after the numbers and just USM Please? Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8L USM Sorry I am a lens tard and am researching good long distance lenses for dog show pics which will leave gorgeous clear action and stacked shots with gently blurring backgrounds (does this even make sense? ) Please feel free to point me in the right direction of good lenses with less than 2000 price tag

WOWI am seriously loving your pics guys...there is somme serious talent on DOL forum!!!! I have no clue about lenses. I have a canon 450d with 15-55mm lens and 55-250 mm lens. I really want to be able to make beeeeeautiful pics like this such clarity and focus (dont know who took it to ask what lens and camera they used) Is this the sort of thing a 50mm can do of would I need a different lens altogether? -

I think my old neighbour bought this Cavalier puppy..... They rang me 2 weeks ago to tell me about their new puppy I could hear their eyes roll when I said 'was she from a pet shop???' Gets so frustrating when you try and educate and people just think you are being weird

*Lolapalooza* replied to jpandkt08's topic in General Dog Discussion
I cant tell u as FACT that there are 3 breeders in SA, around 10 in Vic, 3 or 4 in NSW, 1 in Tas, 2 in WA all actively breeding Bernese litters here and there. -

Buying A Puppy On Breeders Terms

She has already stated that the pups all stay in her name until 12months old or until we fulfill the terms of the contract, including that we pay for the hip/elbow xrays & grading. If you're paying for the health tests, you should be getting the stud fees. This deal sounds mighty one sided to me - and its not on your side. Ditto on that! I have heard a breeder say re one sided terms contracts presented to the people on day of purchase 'people will sign anything once they see that puppy' -
Congratulations
