I will have 3 baby berners this weekend its their first show so could be amusing You can come and talk to us we sit with mastiffs, berners, pyreneans, at the back near the green shed. I haven't got any confirmation of entry either. -
If money were no object I'd like an automatic reverse feature

Some Breeds Less 'smelly' Than Others?
*Lolapalooza* replied to jacqui835's topic in General Dog Discussion
Bernese Mountain Dogs don't smell, mine never ever have even when they havent been bathed for a while. They will watch out for you and bark at strangers but not 'guard'. -

Small greyhound or a whippet -
friend of a friend sent it to me...you know dog shows!
-
Nah thats all Ive got sorry.
-
Even go to the shows with your pup for fun and dont enter
-
Do you have a really good sensible older dog at home? I find that mine always look to an older dog if they arent sure. I have one puppy that was scatty when she arrived and I took her toall different places and often with the other dog and she is 100% bombproof now.

I have the schedule here, I will try and attach it.................... 2011_Adelaide_royal_show.pdf

Most enquiries in my breed (bernese) want boys as they are bigger and more impressive-(but not always I have quite big girls compared to some out there.

My best most successful girl had a pyo and we spayed her as there looked like there would be other complications and at the time it was the best thing for her health even though she had never had babies. She is still beautiful and fit and we will be out showing as a Neuter (her not me haha) soon, cant wait to have her out again.

At what point will you decide that the PENNHIP result will tell you that your puppy will have 'acceptable' hips to you? 90th percentile, 50th percentile. I think you should just give her back too.

Definately ring Connie Redhead from Landmaster SA, she is great and has lovely ACD's

Ditto, and I wouldnt go near a breeder that offered a pup without papers, it costs $20 for limited reg papers and in many states isagainst rules not to register the whole litter

Which Option For Importing Would You Choose
*Lolapalooza* replied to heroeswit's topic in Breeders Community
You cant import the baby dog before atleast 9 months old anyway so you would need to find someone to run on all the choices for another 6 months to do all the rabies vacc/titres -
whatever you decide to do with her perhaps ask the breeder for more hip xray stats of the littermates and parents of the dam. If the dam's siblings have low hip scores this also adds to the chance that your girl will be just fine. I have read a few studies (dont ask me where?!) that believe horizontal pedigree data (including siblings of parents/grandparents into the big picture) is perhaps more indicative of future outcomes than vertical (just looking directly behind the puppies at the parents/grandparents themselves) if this makes sense.

If you have a tiny 1mlsyringe and the puppy isnt sucking my friends vet told her to syringe a tiny bit of warmed glucose solution up their little butt and it gets absorbed really well by the bowel
-
No glucose is just sugar.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Not surprising she did it in style...that 8 week pic is a promise of something special....just beautiful!
