  6. Poms, contact Doggy Dooz Grooming Salon in Victoria. They sell fantastic dryers. I dont think they are a particular brand but are 2 speed/heat controlled and super strong.

I did a line breed this time as per Jazzy's breeders ( Barbara ) request so here's hoping And Yes it is DAISY..............sorry lol LOL yes it is. Well good luck!!!
  9. Best of luck Libertybrook!! We used the same dog for our last litter and this is one of the resulting babies. We were very pleased with them. I hope you get something nice
  10. Ascot Vale Saddlery...lovely girls and they have some awsome stuff. They also sell gifts for dog lovers. Right around the corner from the Melbourne Show Grounds and jam packed with dog stuff.
  11. Fingers crossed here for you Julie. Same dog?
  12. Yes you certainly can use Equinade whitening shampoo on all colours. I have used it on black, white, fawn, blue and red dogs. ETA This shampoo should only be used on show days as it can dry out coats if used on a regular basis.
  13. Saw this at the Melbourne Pet Expo, apparently a 500g bag can make up to 2kg. You need to add water to the freeze dried mix to rehydrate it. The treats can be fed as they are. Not cheap but it does look good.
  14. I use the Equinade whitening shampoo on my black dogs. It is a horse shampoo. It will brighter any colour, I love it
  15. richness, I am so sorry to hear that you went through the same horrible ordeal with your little girl. May she rest in peace I cant believe how many people have emailed and said that they have been through the same thing with their dog. I had never heard of this until my boy got sick. It scares me to think its popping up more frequently (according to my vet, she has seen an increased amount of cases over the last couple of years).
  16. Add me to the list. Border Collie litter due early April. Yet to be confirmed.
  17. Yes, he is having a hand made urn done, which I understand can take a bit longer, however it is their lack of contact that really has me in the shits. They havent phoned or emailed once to give me an update or even confirm the details that I wanted on the urn. It is costing me a pretty penny, you would think at a time like this, I wouldnt have to chase them. I just want my boy home. Ill be calling them tomorrow I think, for the fourth time
  18. Re: Vet bedding. I need to buy some more. The one I have im not happy with. The puppies stay pretty dry, however the bed comes up crappy after it is washed. It has thinned out after only a few washes and I cant get the dog hair off it for the life of me. Ive seen other vet beds that have lasted years with lots of wear and tear and they are still thick and wash up nicely. Does anyone know where to buy GOOD quality vet bedding at a good price? This vet bedding from memory was around $45 and I brought it off a DOLer. EFS
  19. Good on you Peacefrog for getting into fostering, there is nothing more rewarding in this world. Thankyou for your thoughts Tassie, you have been great during this hard time. And Peacefrog, it does get easier, but I know what you mean about expecting Esmay to be there when you turn around...I kept going to make up Fel's bowl of dinner everynight and would call out to him in the yard, then realising he wasnt coming home. Those are the hardest times. Im glad you get Esmay back tomorrow. I am desperate to have Fellow back, I am very unimpressed with the cremation company (who came highly recommended by DOLers). I still dont have Fellow back which makes me feel a little unsettled. They havent returned my calls or emails since the day he was put to sleep (4th Feb). They have a different excuse everytime.
  20. Hi Peacefrog, About not being there when she was put to rest, I wanted to tell you not to feel bad. I also couldnt be there for my boy when he was put to rest. It was 1am in the morning and the vet asked if I wanted to come in and say a last goodbye, but I would never have left that clinic without him. I let them do it while he was calm and resting in his pen, he wouldnt have even known. My last memory of my boy was from earlier that day, I spent some time visiting him and when it was time for us to leave he refused to get up for the vet nurse to go back to his pen. But when I stood up, he got up and followed me to his pen....that really broke my heart. He was so ill that day but he still got up for me. I will never forget that last memory, which I think is a nice one, and although sometimes I hate myself for not being there in his last minutes, I have seen the "green dream" been given many times before and it is so fast. At least, like your Esmay, he went when he was comfortable. Some days I regret giving up on him but then I remind myself of that look in his eye on his last day. He was begging to be set free. Sorry, im rambling on But I just wanted to say that no matter what, you did the right thing by Esmay and even though you werent there in her last minutes, she knows you loved her very much. You cant do anything now but enjoy the great memories.
  21. Nutridrops or brandy. Gives flat puppies a boost Calcium for the bitch whilst whelping
  22. Oh Peacefrog I feel sick to my stomach, I am so sorry that you lost little Esmay. I had never heard of these immune diseases until now and I pray we never have to go through this again. I know that no words will bring back your girl, but I am thinking of you and know what you are going through. Im so sorry
  23. Thankyou so much Dyzney for taking the time to answer my question. I suppose it just happened so quickly for me, from the time he fell deathly ill to the day he was put to rest, that it left a lot of questions unanswered. Peacefrog, I am praying that your girl really starts to pick up. I have heard of Evans Disease on the UK group I am on. If you dont know about the group, please join. They are an absolute wealth of knowledge and are incredibly supportive. CIDMA Support
  24. Thankyou for the update. I only lost my boy 3 days ago so the pain is still raw and I really feel for Peacefrog, its so horrible to watch someone else go through the same thing. I do have a question for you Dyzney if Peacefrog doesnt mind me asking in his thread...it has been playing on my mind and I was too upset when I lost my boy to be bothered asking the vets at the time. My boy had IMHA which came on immediately over night, we dont know what caused it. I want to know if he would have always had an underlying immune problem and this unknown cause has triggered the IMHA it or whether the disease picks dogs randomly. Hope this makes sense.
  25. Peacefrog, Still thinking of you here. I know exactly what you are going through. These immune diseases are bastards and unfortunately they are something you just have to wait out, thats the part that breaks you, not knowing what tomorrow will bring. Your little Esmay looks like a real fighter, I really hope tomorrow brings some better news for you and your girl. Hugs to you and Esmay!!!!! xo ETA - My boy had vomiting and the runs from his gut protectants. He was on Cortisone and chemo drugs also.
