Food Allergy Not Contact Allergy
Lemonlime replied to JulesP's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
One of my young boys recently lost all of the hair around his eye when I placed him on a more "natural" dry food. He was missing hair for nearly 6 months and it was getting worse. I didnt even consider a food allergy. He had been to the vet, skin scrapings, tablets etc and nothing worked. I switched him onto Vets All Natural and within a week or two, the hair returned completely! All of my dogs are now on this and their condition is better than ever. Fantastic coats, no doggy smell, no bad breath and they love it. -
Can anyone confirm the situation in Churchable? Particularly near Lake Atkinson. I have googled to no end and am turning up nothing.

Buying A Main Registered Dog
Lemonlime replied to Pretty Miss Emma's topic in General Dog Discussion
Hey stranger I dont think you will have a problem at all getting a puppy. I wish I got more puppy enquiries from people like yourself! Kisses to Kenzie and Emma from Flash and Rain -
Nice looking pup, I doubt there is an ounce of Stafford in their at all. Pet shops tend to lie about the breed, what ever sells! I realise you thought you were doing the right thing by getting her out of a glass cell, however all you really did was free up a space so that they could fill it with more puppies. Sad reality.

Thanks everyone i'll pass it on. Thornbury wouldnt be too far from where she is. I know she has purchased meat from E A Salce in Thornbury but was concerned about the preservatives and dyes. Does anyone else buy from them? Her last batch of Ox Cheek was a very un natural colour.

Sorry everyone, I meant to post this into the Health/Grooming forum. Could you be so kind to move it Troy?

Just wondering if anyone can recommend some places that sell GOOD quality pet mince in the Western suburbs of Victoria? A friend of mine is having issues with her current supplier (too many preservatives and inconsistency in the meat). She is wanting someone that supplies mince that isnt pumped full of preservatives and artificial colours. She only has small dogs so isnt looking to buy bulk amounts, just looking for a good honest supplier. Thanks!

Not offended at all But I will say that if this owner thinks that growling and biting is acceptable, then they are mistaken. I doubt anyone needs educating on aggressive and dominant behaviour. Its quite black and white really. Thats all im going to say on the issue anyway. It wasnt made public to disgrace anyone, as clearly I didnt mention names. It was posted here because I have seen too many "close calls" when running the dogs at Kepala and I think some people could be a bit more aware of their dog. EFS

I find it very interesting that over the last few days I have had a couple of private emails from other people who have also had bad experiences with these dogs at Kepala. I think some owners need to realise that their dogs are not "rough playing" but being dominant and sometimes aggressive towards other dogs at Kepala. I always keep my dog on a lead in the big group that is run but still find myself having to move to another run because people arent keeping an eye on their own dogs. My dog has been going to Kepala since he was 8 weeks old, he is now 7 months old and has had problems with one dog in particular from our very first visit. This dogs owner is turning a blind eye to her dogs behaviour. If me and other people can see that this dog has issues running in a pack, then the owner must to! I wont be returning to the DOL Kepala meet again.

Groupfive - apologies if that was Bear or Sohvi, we usually keep a very close eye on them but sometimes we are momentarily distracted. At one point today i did rescue another (smaller) dog as Bear's version of playtime was a bit full on -sorry if I missed you (I don't recall it, but I never know!!) No it wasnt your dogs Im not going to name names, I dont think thats fair. All of the dogs at Kepala are fantastic dogs and I wasnt going to say anything but I just think people need to be a little more aware of their dogs when we are running them in a VERY large pack.

Had a great day, however I think some owners need to take a little more responsibilty for their dogs. I had to carry my dog in my arms out of one of the activity areas today because a couple of dogs were being very dominant standing over him and growling at him. In a pack as large as the one we run at Kepala, fights can easily break out and I was dissapointed and suprised that the owners of these dogs did nothing to control their dogs offlead in this situation which could have easily broken out into a pack fight if I hadn't of removed my dog from the area. Other than that, a great day all round as usual.

Sorry guys, me and Pointees are pulling out of this month. There is a herding clinic on. If I get called into work, Pointees will still be going to Kepala though.

You have added links from an American website. The Nutro in Australia is made in Australia and there is no small breed available here.

Thanks Sags. That is the info I was after

I feed Nutro and am very happy with it. However I was given a free 12kg bag of Earthborn Holistic today to try out on the dogs. I cant seem to find any information on it other than a basic ingredients list. From what I understand it is owned by Wellness and is a holistic version of Pro Pac (Happy to be corrected ) Can anyone tell me whether this food is irradiated? Has anyone tried it and what did you think of the results? I am just very wary of these imported foods, so if anyone has any info it would be appreciated.

Great day!!!!! We had a blast even if big Flash was being a little turd -
Better join this thread with my 6 month old monster :D This week I am teaching him targetting. Any suggestions for foundation exercises for a young dog? He currently knows sit, stand, down, stay on leash, attention ("look") and a couple of tricks. I saw a great video posted by Leopuppy on teaching heel position on a round mat, might give that a go too.

Well the people in this thread are potential future customers with questions you havent answered. Could you be so kind as to tell them where your ingredients are sourced?
