Selective colour is dangerous, but when it works, it works. Yours really worked - it looked HOT! Shame it doesn't always work...especially in weddings LOL and I think it's "prima donna" not pre-madonna retro 80s LOL Sorry, I just had to read it a few times to figure it out!

Roc - great fountains!
-
Wow, sorry, I've been bad! Wags - nice job! Love the gentle taking of the biscuit shot Ruthless - cool tap stuff...I had to resist dragging it into LR to play with black white and funky conversions. Very cool shots! Abbey - love the crumbs from that cookie, nice thinking! Tadpole - I love the biscuits with the china, great idea. And I like the self-portrait (?) with the remote! Again, I resist temptation for LR playing...I have work to do! Alas, I have nothing yet ... again... I'll just live vicariously through you guys for a while more!

LOL I finally got the dumb box today. Gotta love Aussie Post I got the world's ugliest coloured crayon thing, too - a very sickly peach...
-
Ah yes, the "paths palette" and "points" with the pen tool - I'm sure I've seen that somewhere. I do know where the pen tool is, so that's a start. I really do need to learn to use PS one day...thanks for the tip, maybe I'll try to learn that for this week's challenge!
-
rocco - that's fab!! Selective colour actually works here, so well done! I love the black whites, too. #1 and #2 are rocking! An aside, another way to get great grain is to shoot with the proper exposure and lowest ISO you can and then do the grain in LR or PS...that way you have a more versatile image BTW - can you explain "clipping path for colour"? I am such a Photoshop gumby...

Arrrrgh, I'll gives ya thread nazi - put em back up or I'll ship Tilly to you for a week!! They were awesome, we want them back ASAP, girlio! And if we can still put stuff up, I'm going to find time to do my last two from last week, too!! Gee, that'll make FIVE that I have to do this time LOL
-
Noooo - this one is closed! LOL I like 'em tho
-
OMG - that's what I said to my hubby last night when we were talking about this challenge! So this week: 1 - a tap 2 - biscuits 3 - remote control Answer - all things my MatildaLily eats! Yes, she tries to eat the tap outside, must have something on it that tastes good..
-
C'mon peeps! We need a third item!
-
I love that we're having biscuits - means I have a legitimate reason to buy a new pack BTW - vickie, can we put the dates of the challenge in the title? Like 18 - 24 Sept (or whatever the dates are LOL)
-
Cool! Bummer, I had a long lunch with friends and won't get to do the two shots I wanted to. Have to wait for a ball and a fork to come up again
-
Aww, that's sweet, thanks! But there are too many to choose from this week already I think!
-
bhahahaha YOU suggested the fork and I suggested shoes, so I'm out of this weeks suggestions too ROFL that's too funny. I told you I'd been having a crazy week - I have no idea what I'm doing, clearly
-
Am I getting ahead of myself? Sorry just throwing ideas around. I am sure you can submit, I love seeing your work. I was thinking maybe a tap, tooth brush and tooth paste. They can all relate into one shot or seperate ideas. Toothpaste could be fun to work with. If it sux, no worries, I wont be offended. Greedy! You've put forth all three items You gotta let everyone have a chance This should probably be in the "discussion thread" instead of here, but I think to keep it fresh, those who suggested an item one week can't suggest the following week - so that would knock vicki, me and ? who had the fork??
-
Arrgh, don't we have one more day? I thought we could still submit on Thursdays LOL this week has really gotten away from me. Cool suggestion for Challenge Two!
-
Harminee - you do beautiful signatures! I love 'em! I'm jealous coz I am so not a photoshopper...I totally suck at stuff like this
-
Dust - loving the forks! Very nice
-

Love the second tennis ball shot! You caught it just at the right moment, I think Nice one! And again, the second dog shot waiting for the ball - awesome expression, love the motion on the ball and the brick wall is cool, too. I might try a vertical crop or move the dog out of centre, but it's a great frame as is, too!

I don't shoot jpegs, just RAW files. But on my compacts I always set it to the best quality possible to give myself the best chance of getting a salvageable image

Thanks, Girls! I LOVE my Steve Maddens...sometimes he has uggo stuff but sometimes he has the cutest ever stuff And I won't tell you that I found them on an awesome sale coz you'd choke if you knew what I paid for them I knew the first one would be more appealing than the others...I'm going to keep using this challenge to try new things, though Ruger...glad you can see them now! Still a couple more days left for this week...let's see some more. I'm hoping to get some shooting time tomorrow for the last two items...
-
oh-kay...well, just call me the thread killer...sorry, folks!

It can be overwhelming, but the nice thing is that it's so easy to just play! I shoot M almost 100% of the time. There are rare times I might choose Av (aperture priority on Canon) or Tv (shutter priority on Canon), but I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I did it. After a bit you'll get good at eye-balling a scene for a starting point and then chimping from there to get exactly what you want or to give yourself some options. I have also been known to put it on P - not the green box - now and again when I am just shooting random outdoor stuff that has no lighting issues. But usually it's just as easy for me to whap the settings in and shoot from there.
