Aw look at that face! You did great!! Can't wait to see more

LOL why in world would she spend an extra $40 for the exact same camera? Who would possibly care that it says something different? I get that the names are a little confusing, but after you buy the camera what difference does it make? $40 is $40, after all!

As far as I can tell, they should be the same camera. Granted, I've only had the quickest of looks at that link, but perhaps it's a vanity thing? Or a misprint? I'd call them and ask coz I'm just not seeing a blatant difference and it's easier to ring them than read all the fine print LOL

No idea. They just change the names/model numbers from country to country. Perhaps something different on the warranty? Or are you looking at different stores and comparing?

Aww, I'm only trying to help

Can't wait to see it!! I checked that site yesterday and the bag I fell in love with isn't there anymore

No, sorry, deleted the email. Go to BigW online and I'm sure it will give you all of the details.

Joe McNally rocks. And he's just released a new book that looks like it will be a good one for those just beginning and even those with some clicks under their belts. The LIFE Guide. I haven't laid hands on it yet so am looking forward to talking with some friends who are going to pick up a copy...heck, maybe this will be a book I buy specifically to view on my iPad! Amazon link

Is it bad that I have a whole Bookmark Folder in Firefox named Camera Bags?

Wow, no need for the cranky pants - everyone's sharing their thoughts and that's a good thing! I, for one, appreciate all the input and everyone's explanations, examples and suggestions. I'm less concerned about it, have some new techniques and can go to summer with a clearer of vision of what I believe will suit my own dogs. Pretty much a successful thread, imho!

Save $10 on all personalized hard cover photo books. Looks like that has them starting around $20. I've never had one done through BigW so don't know how they stack up to other places. Just thought I'd pass it along...

Yup. It's all about understanding the files and your equipment and technique. Shooting one format or another or editing in one format or another won't make you a better photographer

Frozen water bottles are a great idea, thanks!

OK, it mostly looks like they should be good mostly even without it on. They have plenty of places to go and choices of materials to lounge on both inside and outside. Mostly our heat is dry. Guess I'll just keep doing what I've been doing - when I think it's too hot for me to be in it, it's too hot for them to be in it!

Looks to be For an extra few bucks you can get the OS version, though. This link doesn't say that it is the newer OS version. I have the old version without OS and don't miss it, fwiw.

No, they aren't interchangeable. You need to buy the mount that matches the body you have. Usually there's not much between the Nikon and Canon price-wise.

I've got the Crumpler 6MDH and love it I got periwinkle and orange. It's fabulous!

Didn't mention my breed - they are both Rhodesian Ridgebacks. No health issues other than a bit of arthritis

We are coming into summer and have had over a week of 35C+ days already. It's probably going to be a scorcher until March. I am trying to reduce my electricity use and am being far more careful turning on the air-cons than I have been in the past. So far I haven't turned it on for more than 20 minutes or so to take the heat out of my bedroom right when I go to bed. I've avoided it during the day almost completely. I don't worry when I am home with the doglets as I figure if I can live with it, they're fine, too. But I worry when I'm not home. Even when the temperature is the same. Stupid, I know. They have access to lots of fresh water, lots of shade, most of the house and I leave the ceiling fan on in the living room. The blackout curtains are drawn so there's no streaming sunlight coming in. So, what do you think? How hot does it need to be before I kick it on when I'm out of the house? How long do I need to be gone for? Should I stop worrying so much about it?

Help! Dont Know What Is Wrong With My Slr Camera

Reformatting the card is a good idea, if you haven't done so. I always hit "format" on mine when I insert a card so didn't think to ask - good job, huga! -
Help! Dont Know What Is Wrong With My Slr Camera

My first guess is a corrupt card. But you said you've put in a new card. My second guess would be a firmware problem, but you said you've updated that. So, I would do a hard reset on your camera - you'll need to read the manual or get online to find out how - and then start over with a fresh set of batteries and a card that you know works. If you are still getting this error, it's off to the camera doctor, me thinks. no, your lens will not fit because it is a pentax mount and it needs to be a canon mount -
You need the Canon mount - there's only one

Sigma 17-70 FTW - I adore mine

HEHE I think it's great you're getting one! I'm jealous that I can't just run off and do it, too! We want photos and your impressions when it arrives, you know
