  6. Terra - love the self-portraits Dust - that image is crazy. Makes me eyes go wonky - cool!
  7. I haven't officially declared I'm doing it, but I do hope to do a photo a day more often than not. I post them on my blog tagged Daily KJA. Usually that has been the title of the post, along with the date, but sometimes I just add the Daily KJA as a tag (so you can click on it and be taken to a page filled with them). I did OK and then not so OK throughout 2010 - we shall see what this year brings! PS we need a link. My blog is linked in my signature here.
  8. Flaves - absolutely! This is the anything at all goes thread - the only thing "required" is that you submit one photo a week You don't even need to keep to a theme for the whole year.
  9. mason - you'll have to do a retro post with all the days leading up to your new cap!
  10. Great start to January! dogs - puppeh looks thrilled with the streamers LOL Rally - looks like what I feel like doing today! collie - such blue eyes care - how green is that?!
  11. 1/1/11 - Day One Playing around on the beach and in photoshop: Me & the puppehs before the impending thunderstorms
  12. Evolving - great start Love the expressions!
  13. Thanks, Shell, for your hard work updating the OP!! pumpit - I don't think there is any "wrong" way here! gillybob - great to have you. I'm sure someone can help you figure out how to upload. Just remember to resize your image (650-900 pixels longest edge seems to work the best for the most people viewing; I drop mine down to 200kbs or less, too, which you have to do to directly upload to DOL anyway). I personally whap mine up on photobucket and then paste the link in as I like to display the image and not a thumbnail that people have to click to see (which is what happens with a direct upload to DOL). Either either - whatever works for you!
  14. I think we need to update the list!! Great to see so many in here - I'm looking forward to all of the great (and just for fun whether they are "great" or not coz i intend to have some of these type LOL) images!
  15. bec - love those second two!! zenith - I'm sorry for your loss. What a fabulous photo to have -he looks like a character and I love the mom & bub, too!
  16. carebear - just go with the flow. One photo a week "A moment of my life each week for the year" ... hey, we're the unpure thread - you're welcome to change your mind on subjects, themes, cameras etc as much as you want! All you need to commit to is one photo each week
  17. This thread is for ANY photos - doesn't have to be related to dogs at all. It could be something as broad as simply "I'm going to post my favourite photo each week" or "I'm going to shoot whatever random stuff I see with whatever camera I have at the that point in time and share it" Or you could do sub-themes: one month with the 50mm @ 1.8 and the next month of flowers or one month of black/white conversions or whatever. This is for anyone and everyone who wants to commit to sharing a photo a week, regardless of subject
  18. Only 5 of us? LOL Does that make us the cool, elite clique or the weirdos sitting at the far table?
  19. Ignore the nay sayers :D It is good to learn to do things whether you use them day to day or not - it all builds skills and gives you a different view of things. Sometimes it will be a good addition, sometimes it will make you go screaming for the hills six months later  :D
  20. Please, no yes, but it's probably a bit easier to do more things in photoshop. I shouldn't dis selective colour - I used it the other day for my own amusement (done in LR):
  21. Everyone I know on a Mac is Lightroom and Photoshop :D Lightroom will do about 95% of whatever you need to do, probably. Photoshop allows you to work with layers, has better cloning options, has text features and drop shadows and a million other filters. Lightroom is your main darkroom & organizational tool and Photoshop is the extra special stuff kinda i personally rarely open Photoshop to do more than smack my watermark bar thingo on stuff (because I'm too lazy to take the 30 seconds it would take to make the droplet in Lightroom LOL) and a few other bits and bobs. I'm not so much into textures and layer work and highly involved editing on my images much ... I'm low maintenance that way.
  22. btw - not sure if everyone is sticking to "real" weeks but I am going to have Week 1 be 1-7 January inclusive; week 2 January 8-14 inclusive etc... basically, I'm sticking with the week count like you'd see in a yearly diary. I may post at any time during the week or on the Saturday at the end of the week - just have to see how the ol' schedule goes I have no idea if this matters to anyone else LOL just throwing it out there I'm really looking forward to having a goal that I can actually meet - the 365 project is just too much for me this coming year.
  23. That's why you gotta check every time - so you don't get caught out!
