Sorry to hear you are having problems with the 1.4, too! I, knock wood, work it to death and have not a single problem. Pretty sure mine is older than any of yours - could be more problems with certain batches as it seems to go in waves (like every other gear problem I've read about!). I hope you can get it resolved cheaply and quickly!!

I have lost all the images on a card today. I have tried one recovery program and it just says that there is nothing there. I was reviewing images as I shot them so I know they were being recorded to the card while I was out. No images show up on the camera now that we are home. To delete files on this camera you have to go into a menu and then a sub menu and then hit YES that you really want to so I have no idea how it could have happened accidentally. And we went from the beach to the car to the house so no clue how or where this could have happened. I'm very curious how this happened and a little disappointed that the images seem to be gone Update: looked at POTN for another program and found PhotoRec (I think I have this on my laptop, now that I think about it). I cannot say enough good things. Bada bing it found all of today's images plus lots of images from ages and ages ago that have been deleted and then new images saved repeatedly. And it's free!

It is completely out of the sun Nary a beam of light hits it. And I'm cleaning it daily!

I have one of those water dishes that is hooked up to our reticulation. The animals drink so much and our retic doesn't come on every day so I also fill it up with a jug of water now and again as needed. But it's started to seriously grow the greenies on the bottom. It's a pain in the butt to clean out all the time and it happens so fast! Is there any way to stop/inhibit this growth safely? Or is it just one of those things? The water in their in house bucket doesn't get this growth, only the one outside.

Or even if you're just having fun! there's no competition in photography unless you allow that in (and it may have its place, competition isn't a dirty word!) - it's soul lifting and I like to do as an activity of peace & joy & frivolousness! So sucking is perfectly acceptable to me
