Oh Holy crap Kirislin. How absolutely terrifying for you and for Feather. I am so glad to read that she is a bit more settled and that Neko is keeping her company. Heaps of healing vibes coming your's and Feather's way. Please keep us informed and look after yourself as well.

kirislin you do have a natural talent and an ability to capture the moment in a stunning composition. It has taken me four tries to get a watermelon shot like yours and I am no where near getting the right shot. I am beginning to think that you cannot photograph Rottweilers eating with elegance  This is my latest attempt taken today. Dee eating watermelon in the backyard. Not delicate at all 5/52

4/52 This was taken using my very new Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, which I am also trying to master this year, because I usually have it with me whenever I am out with the dogs. Zephyr and Dee drinking from the pool

3/52 Zephyr looking noble in the backyard after playing under the hose.

Could I please join in as well. My aim is to achieve clear, sharp action shots of the dogs and the stunning clear portrait shots that huga and helen can.

Absolutely gorgeous. Cherish your time together and always have the camera handy. Lestat looks so regal in black and white.
-
Rozzie he is absolutely gorgeous. Such a distinguished dog. And so old. Trixie is very dignified :D Baylee loved the herding dogs, especially Odin the Stumpy Tailed Cattle Dog. She had an eye for a good looking dog :D

I love Clover's colour. Such a deep red :) NAO they certainly do surprise us with their strength and determination :D

We have lost many characters to the Bridge haven't we SL. I like to think that they are having one giant Kepala outing, with activities for all dogs to enjoy, from the energetic and sociable to the quiet loners. All happy, occupied and well fed. :D

She did have the most expressive face LG. And she was such a clown. I have many photos that she photo bombed. Like this one
-
Astro clearly adored Clover. They are together now :) Huge hugs to you Clover. To loose both so close together is heartbreaking.

This is Baylee, better known as the Old Chook. These photos were taken in the last few months of last year. She was given her wings in November 2013 at 11 1/2 years old due to heart and kidney failure. She was the fun police, but also the instigator of great fun, usually every morning with Dee. They would play the noisiest game of chasey you have ever heard. They sounded like a herd of elephants romping around up stairs and the bounding could be heard in the kitchen and out in the backyard. She loved to chase the young dogs, chase balls and bubbles. She loved to swim and take walks. In the last few months the walks were much shorted and slower, but she was still as enthusiastic as her younger self. She was a great eater and she loved to work. She would bark her head off while I was training the younger dogs in obedience until she got to do some healing and the figure eights. And the car. OMG she loved the car and was the biggest hoon I have ever known. She would stand between the two front seats with her feet on the centre console. If she could not stand she would drop with her paws and head resting on the console. She loved to see where we were going. Her last day and last Christmas. She is greatly missed by us all. The house is a lot quieter and the younger dogs not as playful.

Dezzy's Xmas Gift To An Elderly Lady

Brilliant :D -
Just watched Better Homes and Gardens while eating dinner and Dr Harry was helping a GR that was terrified of water, especially at the beach and from the hose. It turns out it is the noise that the dog was afraid of. Would play in still water, with encouragement, and would approach the hose with the nozzle off and only a gentle stream of water coming out. So this may be Hank's problem. Just a thought

Weight bearing bones are the legs of the animals and they have the ball or knobby ends on them. Soft bones are the spine, necks and ribs, sometimes called chuck and brisket bones. My dogs get chicken frames, chuck bones and necks. They do not like brisket or rib bones for some reason, not even Dee who is an eating machine.

Oh TSD Em is so elegant in flight. Poor Zig
-
OMG look at that sweet innocent face and those soft silky ears I so like Hank is adorable and he is developing into a character :D Thanks hankodie. They are great to photograph and be around
