Brandiandwe when you start out it is such a scary experience giving control of your dog over to natural instinct and not interfering, just guiding. It is especially hard for those of us who do obedience. You have to trust that your dog knows what to do. You teach them distance, respect and hand signals, but ultimately it is the dog communicating with the sheep and working out who the lead sheep is to enable them to move the mob. But it is exhilarating and so much fun :D

Brandiandwe when you watch Rotties playing, especially with other breeds, you can see their herding behaviour. It is more subtle than that shown by Kelpies and Border Collies. Baylee and Zeph learning herding manners (balance and pressure)

BC Crazy they also have a basic agility run and two other runs that are all fenced. All runs are double gated and there are toy bins in each run with drinking water. Thank you for the complement about the dogs. I think that they are gorgeous as well. :D

It is absolutely a brilliant place to stay. We have been there twice and are planning on going back again. There is a great swimming hole a short walk away Great fenced yards to play zoomies and chase giant balls The cabins are very comfortable with small fenced dog yards, and Yarram is only 10 minutes drive away. Highly recommend staying here.

OMG that is brilliant.

Anne generally crates are a safe place for dogs. In our house only positive things happen in their crates. All bones inside are given in their crates. You say to them do you want a bone, you go to the fridge and they go to their crates. When lots of kids or people are here, their crate is a safe place to have some down time. The crates are always up in the lounge room and the doors open, so that when watching TV and there is no room on the couch the dogs have a warm comfy place to sit while we all watch TV. When at really busy places like the Dog Lovers Show, their crates are a safe quiet place to take a much needed break from the crowd. When at trials and shows the crates are a great, safe place to relax. When sick or after an operation, their crates are a great place to rest and recuperate, unless your Aunty brings you a ball

I would walk Jade separately. I know that adds a lot more time, but it really is easier to control a reactive dog if they are by themselves and then you are not worried about all 3 dogs together if something happens. Pick quiet routes where there are as few dogs as possible, pull into driveways or cross the road if there is another dog, to give Jade enough space so you can work with her to keep her under threshold. Know where her threshold is. Have you looked into "Look At That"? I found this helped me a lot with Zoe. Totally agree about walking the reactive dog separately. I walk Dee on her own, especially when I know that there are going to be more dogs about, usually in the afternoons. She is calmer and more responsive to me because she does not have her brother for back up, and I am calmer. It is much easier to get one large dog to heel than it is two. It means that we are able to "walk on" in a calm non threatening manner whilst maintaining distance and keeping her under thresh hold.

Where else would any well bred greyhound be on a Saturday night but on the couch, with his pillow, watching TV. I think he is asking for his supper to be brought to him :D

We faced this same situation in November last year with our Gorgeous Baylee. She had pretty much stopped eating, which was so not her. Food was one of her greatest pleasures. I swore that I would not force feed her to keep her alive. Also because she was on heart and other medication she was not getting the correct dosage due to not eating. We tried all her favourites but they never lasted long. And her kidneys were failing. So even though we could have tried another medication for the kidneys, and she was chasing bubbles a few days beforehand, the not eating and the tiredness indicated that it was her time. It is so very very hard and my heart aches for you. All the very best to you and Penny.
