Absolutely brilliant. I am so very happy for the both of you. It restores a lot of hope and faith in the future when you see your reactive dog having a great time with another dog. Awesome. -
Tell Me One Thing You Just Love About Your Dog!

With Zeph I love his smile and his love of all things great and small, despite the fact that it does get him into trouble and can make competing in Obedience and Rally hard work. He loves kids and old people, which is why he is so good at Pets as Therapy. He loves all dogs big and small and is not breedist. He has just as much fun getting mugged by a group of pugs at the local market as he does playing chasey with bigger dogs. He has a soft spot for Golden Retrievers and Poodles. He is also the most divine Mummy's Boy you have ever seen. -

With Dee I adore her split personality and her resilience. One minute she is Eyore and the next minute she is Tigger. She used to be very unsure and lacked confidence, especially after the fires. Now she is very confident and full of life. We never thought she would ever get out of CCD, she lacked that much confidence, but she is now in Open, fetching a dumbbell, going over jumps and just got her Rally Novice Title in one day. She is still reactive to other dogs and always will be, but this we can manage. -
Fritz is one very handsome dude, with personality and talent. He is showing great promise Esky.

OMG I am so rapt that you and Kenz are having great success at working again. I think it is brilliant. I wish you great times and as they say "Keep on tracking".

It was lovely watching you work yesterday Superminty. A huge congratulations on your wins and title. We had our first try at Rally Novice in Bendigo and had a great day despite some shocking handler error. Note to self - Read the signs you idiot. Especially if you don't want to loose 10 points because you put in an imaginary sit when there was not one, or forgot a sit where there was one, or did a walk around in anticipation of the station two signs up. All their scores would have been in the 90's, except Zeph's first go where he had total boy brain and we withdrew after 6 stations. Dee did get a 97, which won her first place in the second trial. So from 6 trials we achieved 5 passes, 1 first place and 1 Rally Novice Title. Good girl Miss Dee Dee. My dogs' biggest handicap is me. But I am a work in progress.

Oh Snook huge hugs coming your's and Justice's way. It is absolutely bullshit that others cannot keep their bloody dogs contained. And when their dogs are causing trouble, and you and your dog are in obvious distress, they are so bloody slow to intervene. Or worse they say "just let them sort it out, my dog needs to learn a lesson" :mad Were you able to arrive home relaxed and calm or did you go straight home? I am trying very hard now to ensure that we end all walks on a calm positive note. After our last aggressive dog encounter on Tuesday (yep three incidents, with two contained and one not) I deliberately extended our walk until we had both calmed down and neither of us was hyper vigilant anymore. We then did a bit of fun trick training on the walk home. When we went for our walk yesterday Dee was a lot less vigilant when walking past the same spots and more interested in going on the extended part of our walk that we went on the day before. So finishing on the positive seemed to negate some of the negative from the action of the day before. Mind you our walk took twice as long. Two hours to walk the dogs. At least it was nice and sunny. I hope that you and Justice are feeling a lot calmer and have enjoyed a nice dinner. :) -
What an extremely handsome gentleman you are Mac. And what a brilliant 15th Birthday you had. So very glad that you were spoilt rotten, as all senior citizens should be. :D

Penny you are a Gorgeous Old Dame. May the spring in your step continue to visit you for a long time yet. Beautiful photographs.

OMG Ozstar the ducks are beautiful. Your wetlands are certainly a magical place.

Spring is in the air pers. I love Spring

Thanks T. I often see the little blue and back ones around here. I often see a little honey eater (I think) with a beautiful song but he is too quick for me to photograph properly. I will though. I love a challenge :D He is caramel brown with a beautiful white and chocolate brown chest, white throat and black hood.

How about very large tree trunks that you can partially bury in the ground for the larger dogs to jump over. They also love to dig a cool hole on the shady side to chill out once they have finished hooning. Definitely staffy balls or the like for ball crazy dogs. They are very tuff and keep the larger ball obsessed dogs entertained mentally and physically.
-
TK never apologise for how your dogs came to be with you. We all start somewhere. What counts is how they are loved and looked after, and in that regard you have no problem or reason to explain. Your dogs are clearly loved and well looked after, and definitely well entertained.

Is this one a female Wren? It was taken in early August in the mountains when it was snowing.
-
It was cold and snowing when this was taken.
-
I would keep it to grass and sand as you might end up with a stone eating boarder, which is just scary.
-
OMG that is hilarious.

BCC that is absolutely brilliant news about the vet visit. A big triumph. I had something similar with Dee. She has been wary of people since the 2009 fires, so was a bit unsure about visits to the dog osteo and vet. The usual tail down, ears back, head turned away, and partial slink. Well our last visit was amazing. She went first and had a few minor adjustments due to crazy play with Zeph. She stood tall and was confident. Very compliant with no muscle stiffness or resistance. However, when it was Zephs turn, she went up to Fiona, leaned against her, slid down, rolled on her back right against and got tummy rubs. Then she righted herself and bounded away. My Eyore has turned into a Tigger -

I used to leave my phone at home as well when walking the dogs, but after a badly rolled ankle while walking the dogs it is now a must. It is also great should the dogs do something worth photographing. Never waste an opportunity I say. RIP Gorgeous Little Soul. -
SM beautiful photos of a very spunky Gus I really love the second last one and the ones where he is catching the falling snow.
