  1. Steph your two are brilliant and extremely tolerant, resulting in fantastic photos. SC what a very clever addition. And I have to agree Santa is a little to chilled in a rather creepy way
  2. I agree. Todd is stunning. HW I can beat your epic Christmas costume fail................. I toileted the dogs before the nursing home visit with a long walk. Got them dressed. We were walking to the nursing home and bloody Dee decided that she had to mark. Wet her elf pants didn't she. Lucky I had a spare pair of pants.
  3. SC it is usually in the large off lead yard where A course herding is held. You pay $2 and get a raffle ticket to show your position in the queue. It is run by the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club. Zeph and I will be there, as we have the Rotty Christmas party and the Newfie Christmas party to go to.
  4. Zeph and Dee love ears. Theirs and ours. Thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis. Think Wet Willie Zeph also does the full face clean as you wake up. From chin to forehead. Again thoroughly. And vigorously. Picture a bobble head human. Dee is a chin licker. Nice and gentle though. Not like Zeph. Oh, and his boy bits are immaculate. Always.
  5. There are days when I wish that I could go to Stan Land and just chill. He is the most Zen dog that I know
  6. Just beautiful. Pia is just gorgeous. Yep kittens would not fare well in this house either. Way too much prey drive, although I think Zeph would turn tail if swiped and spat on.
  7. Didn't know this! Do they look very different? Working Rottweilers tend to be a lot leaner and can be smaller than than show lines. They are less Mastiff like and tend to have strong working drives. However, there are currently some stunning examples of working dogs that are also quite successful in the speciality show ring. They have the correct conformation and excellent working drives and temperament. I have to go to work, so will try to find photos later. Allerzeit and Starkehre will know more about this than I do.
  8. Beautiful photo Clover of you and your much loved dogs Rottweilers come in show and working lines :D
  9. Dee has a narrow pointy muzzle and folded ears. Zeph has the correct broad muzzle but smaller ears, and usually a big goofy grin :D
  10. Yep she is about 10cm taller at the shoulder, but he is 2 kg heavier, but has a lot less fur. He practically has no undercoat where as she is like a Malamute
  11. They most definitely have their moments, especially Zeph. Let's just say we make allowances.
  12. I swear our pets love to torture us. They find a weakness and exploit it for their own amusement or advancement.
  13. OMG those photos are absolutely brilliant. I love them RSA. You have given me so many ideas for our nursing home visits next year. I think my dogs like the nursing home visits in costume because they get chicken nuggets I don't know if it is bribery or positive reinforcement but it works.
  14. ha! ZsaZsa BitchGal Vizsla would bring her Momma the bodies. She would drop them at my feet as if to say 'oops, what happened here' LOL :) Yeah I object to her bringing the occasional mouse to me, dropping it at my feet, then nudging it and looking at me as if to say "Make it run again"
  15. Hunter sounds just like Dee. She will put her paw on lizards' tails and then looks mortified and totally confused when the tail drops off and the lizard runs away. She will drop and watch the tail for a few minutes trying to work out what happened
  16. Thanks Everybody. I think that they are both a bit special
  17. OMG Jake is hilarious and so so not impressed. I bet peanut butter did not even work Callie is beautiful RSA they are so very tolerant and obliging
  18. They don't look traumatised by the visit, although apparently if the elf ears are too tight it results in an instant face lift
