  1. OMG that is brilliant SL and Ziggy. Fantastic. You have every reason to be very proud.
  2. Wow. Just wow. It is brilliant to see the dogs working in such a variety of fields.
  3. Holy crap. Huge hugs to you and Don. What a heart starting nightmare that would have been. Poor Don. Poor Pers. Savour the hot chocolate, find the marshmallows, add a few and savour with a great chocolate biscuit on the couch, in front of the fire. May both your heart rates come back to normal very soon.
  4. Nice work. It is all in the body language.
  5. Justice and Jake have absolute Angels for owners. The love and dedication that you Ladies give to your two gorgeous boys is amazing and outstanding.
  6. Yep totally know the feeling. My dogs' biggest handicap is me. I get so nervous that I tense up, and forget to breath, which throws my body language and signals out totally, and the dogs look at me as if to say, WTF are you asking? The more trials you enter, the more experience you get and the less the nerves. And it also helps to think that there is always another trial
  7. OMG that is hilarious. I love some of the cunning shown by some of the dogs to get the bone.
  8. Yes, I would be interested, especially in Training in Drive.
  9. Absolutely gorgeous TSD. If my wardrobe was not developed for black dogs, I could be converted.
  10. These are no where near as good as huski and Wisdom, but they show the importance of focus (Zeph watches my right hand not my left, so he is too far forward when heeling) and pace, Dee and Zeph are more focussed when I walk faster (if you slow down the dog looses focus and sniffs the ground). Also if they are too far forward or too wide, reposition them and then reward the correct position, and move on. Oh and the rear end awareness is a work in progress. After the videos we had a series of light bulb moments with Zeph. No video of it this time though They are happy and enthusiastic, precision is lacking, and yeah my hand signals need work Dee doing rally o http://vid260.photobucket.com/albums/ii14/grumpette_bucket/VID-20150622-WA0002_zpsuj20f3iv.mp4 Zeph doing rally o http://vid260.photobucket.com/albums/ii14/grumpette_bucket/VID-20150622-WA0001_zpshzayd9hj.mp4
  11. Look Mum, my ears stand up She is beautiful. Be nice to your Mum during the teenage months, Blaze.
  12. Thanks Sheena. My guys love bubbles and will spend hours chasing them, especially if kids are involved. Renting can make dog ownership rather hard. We are renting, but have improved the fencing to contain the dogs, because we have farm animals and wildlife to protect. We have permission to have the dogs inside, as we are lucky to have a brick floor which is great.
  13. A video clip that popped up this morning showing jumping styles of various breeds, Rotties included.
  14. And this is the lazy Rottie. Dee easily clearing 600m. If she was after a cat, small dog, rabbit etc and not a dumbbell, she could clear 1 metre easily The athletic one. Zeph is our escape artist. He can open it, go over it, go through it, or go under it, hence the 2 metre high fences and they are never left out in the yard when we are not home. So yes, given the right motivation, Rotties certainly can jump. I really hope that your friend does a lot more research before the pup arrives, because they make absolutely crap outside only dogs. They like to be with their people, and they like to interact and use their brains.
  15. Go Scottie I am wondering how there is so much fruit on the tree. Between the dogs and the birds, ours is bare.
  16. I love her ears. She still has that look of mischief on her face. I am sure her mind is always whirling.
  17. Preferably with lemon and parsley and a fresh salad, with chips of course. Mine love fish, sardines, salmon, mackerel and they love it when we go Japanese and they can come as well.
  18. With respect to the ability to recall under distraction, especially moving distraction, not a hope in hell. I can only dream Ladies. Lovely focus and position there DDO with Willow.
  19. Can I come in? Please? Look into my eyes. I am irresistible. Ahhh. Very comfy thank you.
  20. I think Elsie has been trumped in the personality stakes. Ping just oozes charm and enthusiasm.
  21. And an absolute dream come true, Dee retrieving a dumbbell, in open. Two miracles in the one event. Despite the horrendous Adelaide weather. Never thought that she would get a CCD pass, nor that she would fetch the dumbbell. She has extremely high prey drive, but once it stops moving she could not care less.
  22. One of the best moments was when Dee happily went kayaking for the first time, indicating that her confidence was at an all time high. This is a dog that would not swim confidently until she was 4 years old.
  23. The puppies are not tested, the parents are :) Depending on what hip scoring scheme is being used, they are usually X-rayed as full grown adults. As it is an older dog that you are enquiring about, the chances are very good that the dog has already been X-rayed and health tested, so they are perfectly good questions. The breeder would have taken the results into consideration before advertising the mature dog for sale.
  24. OMG Pers, how the hell did you keep a straight face when he came back Our Don is no hunter
  25. BCC you and Stella are doing brilliantly. Mega impressed with the ability to do selective meet and greets. Fantastic work. And such dedication. The constant exposure and continued positive experiences are resulting in enormous progress, and much better outings for you both.
