  1. Hi, we'll be going ot warnambool easter week.. staying at allansford, burnbrow mansion.. actually going to portland but because the pet friendly accomodation fully booked so no choice.. Maybe we can meet up with you guys anytime that week? Have a male lab and a male cavalier.. we from geelong, btw.. tlc, your dogs are so cute...
  2. I would like to apologise to LMJ31.. sorry didn't mean to step in yr thread to ask questions.. just want to get some ideas.. Sorry once again..
  3. Thanks all.. I gave Luka dry food with cheese this morning, and he loves it. Didn't know there's so many diferent meals i can do for the dogs.. i'm so sad i didn't do it for my previous dogs, because was so busy working that i only give them dry food in the morning and dry food + canned food at night and not much walk as too tired. Jed, what type of milk do u mean? Normal cow milk will do or do i need to buy pet milk? I gave him a hard boiled egg the other day and in the evening he had abit of diarraeh, i don't know isit due to the egg or something he ate along the garden.. so i stopped giving it to him.. Can i give him cabbage & Baked beans? As for the cow milk i put in the weetbix, he seems to be alright after drinking the milk.. normal stool. I'm lucky i found this DOL site and found a good breeder who gave me this wonderful puppy.. and people so willing to share their suggestions and ideas. As for dry food, is there "Solid gold" brand here? I love this brand and was feeding my 2 silky terriers when i was in singapore.. I'm currently using eagle brand.. i changed from the breeder's "science diet" because i read that SD is not as good as eagle.. not sure how true.. I think i will go and search for more recipes.. Just to share a pic of Luka with you guys..
  4. Hi all, i have problems with the meals issues for my lab puppy. he is 11 weeks now, and igot him 3 weeks ago. He's a darling, except for the jumping, chewing, biting and chasing the kids around the house.. hehe.. The breeder told me to feed milk with weetbix or toast for breakfast but i read that milk is no good for the puppy so i stopped and give weetbix with water instead. Toasted bread alternate days. I really don't know what else i can cook for breakfast.. For lunch, (becos i am making for the kids as well), rice or pasta or dry food with minced beef, pork or chicken pieces, carrots, green beans or cabbage (alternate days).. Is cabbage not that good for pets? Dinner as usual and in between, i will give him a biscuits after a walk.. i have not try sardines yet.. but i give him abit of baked beans .. is that alright? For the chicken neck, can i get it from supermarket? I normally buy drumsticks or wings.. are they good enough? What else can i do? I used to own 2 silky terriers but i normally fed them canned food with dry food as i was working and no time to cook.. HOPE you guys can help me on the menu.. thanks alot..
  5. Hi all, I'm new here and i have a lab puppy of 10 weeks.. got him from a great breeder who really takes good care of him and very happy with him.. He has all the "good" points that all of you mentioned .. Biting, chewing everything his mouth can get on, jumping on you, chasing the kids, attacking his bed.. but he has no problem letting us touch him or the food when he's eating.. i moved it around while he is eating and he just either wait or follow his bowl.. i had 2 silkies when i was in singapore and after i moved here, wanted to bring them over so badly but it's too expensive so i have to leave them with my family whom i know can trust. I did the same to them, let them not have the habit of being possessive over their items.. (my aunt's dog was like that and it will bite anybody who just walked by the bowl).. What i did with my lab when he tried to play rough and bit my hand.. i will apply abit of medicated oil (safe to use) or abit of tabaco sauce on my hand and do it a few times and he stopped for a few days tho.. haha.. Would like to check, do the dogs snore? My lab snores most of his naps and especially at night, he will start his dreams and move around when he sleeps, isit normal? My friend used to tell me that its because he played too much during the days.. is that true? I have not bring him to any training yet but wil do it soon as he can be abit too playful.. bit my kids a couple of times but because they play rough with him.. Anyone can share a few recipes with me on what i can give to the puppy? his meals consists of pasta, rice or dry food with carrot or cabbage, mince beef or pork (boiled), for lunch and dinner and Toast or cereal (with water instead of milk) for breakfast.. any other good suggestion? Really appreciate it.
