  1. so sorry to read about poor Sarge I agree the husky needs to be PTS it tried to get poor Sarge once and then came back to have another go why would you want to rehome a dog like this ( when plenty of good dogs are looking for homes ) I really hope the owners get a HUGE fine not that this will help poor Sarge or his family and what they are going through sending hugs to you all run free Sarge
  2. I don't have any constructive comments either just wanted to say i really like them the second one reminds me of those little cards..think you use to get them in Bushell's tea

  8. be careful with chicken necks I have lost a frenchie she choked on one most cut up or smash them....I don't feed them since the tragic and terrible accident with my Gracie also be careful with things like pigs ears and raw hide as frenchie ( I know you have a pug but still a braccy bred ) have choked on them
  9. I have( and breed horses) if my dog did well on horse meat it wouldn't stop me using it I really feel for people who's dogs have bad allergies..and i would feed what i needed to if it helped and my pet cow and pet lambs mean just as much to me as what my horses do
  10. Dont know how you can feed horse to your dog. what's the difference between feeding horse to other meats ? sure some might say horses are like companion but I have a pet cow and several pet sheep..but my dogs and myself still eat beef and lamb
  11. To me ... it seems more of a lack of communication , and the dog being confused ... no it's nothing like that at all...he stressed when being crated....it just took his stress level's down he was his playful of full of beans self when let out..he was certainly not confused at all it just made him relax, he was happy to chew his antler or play with his toys in there ....it's not like using valium where the dog is doped up
  12. my vet gave me tablets called neurocalm worked really well for one of my dogs who had seperation anxiety it's herbal and doesn't make them doopy/sleepy just takes the edge off the anxiety I guess you would say
  13. sorry to go off topic but I read on a couple of older fourm ( not DOL one's ) TOTW uses natural preservatives and bags with the expire date of May 15th 2011 were all ethoxyquin free, it said that they had aquired a supplier that has permission to use a natural preservative prior to entering port and that all theri ocean fish meal is now preserved with natural ingredience
  14. I wish i hadn't come back in here to see how poor Misty is going if it was my sisters dog and she was neglecting it like your sister is I would be taking it to the vet myself if you thought anything about poor Misty YOU would do something I feel sick in the stomach thinking what that poor dog is going through
  15. :D bet they have nice breath . yes as they prefer the dearer one's to my cheaper or one's from cuttings
  16. my dogs love eating rose buds .....I blamed possum's last year for them going missing until I saw the kids eating them
  17. did I read somewhere you were trying him on horse ? horse is very rich and can upset their tummies hope Gibb's is feeling better soon
  18. these photo's are AMAZING !!! they are as good if not better than one's I have seen in mag's like National Geographic I know you probably take them because you love taking them but they really need to be out there for everyone to appreciate them
  19. I e-mailed TOTW about the recallls and received a very nice and detailed e-mail back, they assured me nothing has come here to tassie. they said their place that sends food here has been checked and is fine. I am very happy to keep feeding my dogs this as like I have said many times on this thread they have never looked soooooo good , they are full of beans and they love LOVE LOVE all the varieties always very excited when I head to the bickie bin to get some out, they have never been like that with any other biscuit I have fed them I hope their new puppy range hits our shores soon
  20. I guess if people could buy an australian made biscuit that suited their dogs they would but not ever one can... I have tried a couple and was not impressed with them ( dogs coats etc ) neither were the dogs some wouldn't even eat it I wouldn't right off all imported stuff look how many people fed say royal Canin and have for years I am extremely worried when i read of any food recall be it for people or our precious animals but can anyone say that an australian made item wouldn't ever be listed on a recall of course this recall from Diamond food is a huge worry...and it might make me rethink what I feed
