the vet said to keep feeding the amount that i am but just do give him any more until he grows into him self which he has but only after we started walking him this morning i had him ready for his walk and waited for him to pee and went on the walk and he was fine the best walk we have had all week he isnt over weight anymore and the vet said with the walking as long as its not running and on as much grass as we can 1 k is fine if he is fine with that and not panting and if he is getting behind in the walk with the vacc he had his c5 at 12 weeks and he just has to have a booster for kennel cough next week thanks for all your thoughts on this matter ps the other thing that the vet said to remember is that smaller breed dogs do mature a lot faster than large breed dogs and that the last place she would take him is the beach because that could do more damage to his joints .

the pace is set by him i dont let him sniff around when he wants i let him have about 5 stops on the way if it was when he wants we wouldnt get out the front yard so its not 20mins walk if we walked at a normal pace it would only be 10 mins, hes pulling all the way when he has done a wee its not as if we get home and he just lays down and gos to sleep the 2 k walk has a 45 min rest in between with a drink the reason i have been walking him is he was getting abit over weight

the walk is on grass and slow 1 k normaly takes 20 mins he doesnt need to wee on walks but i think thats when he wont walk because he needs to go once he gos theres no stopping him when we get home he runs around playing when he wont walk he gos outside and wees off the lead when we go to other peoples houses and they dont have a fence so we take him outside on the lead to wee he wont then we let him back inside and right away inside on the floor.i just think its because of the lead

hey louie is a 15 week old westie we have been walking him for 2-3 weeks and he has been fine until this week when he will walk a little bit like 20 meters then he will lay down and not walk anymore then after a bit of a tug he will walk a bit more then do the same thing we tried walking him other places no good he wont do wees on his lead the other day we walked about 2 ks with a coffee break half way he was bad on the way and on the way home i got him to wee and he was fine after that so i think that maybe it but how can i get him to wee on walks i try to give him a drink before we go he just wont do it any help would be great

what would the cost of a hand stripped coat and a clip be if anyone knows

yeah i have all his papers i even have the the blood lines going back at least 15 years so if i want to show him in a year i cant just have him clipped now and then later have him done by hand in 6 months

just a quick up date hes off supercoat and on hills puppy small bites much better still likes the grass but his poos are back to normal he starts puppy pre school next week anyone got any ideas on how to get a dog to sleep right through the night he only gets up at 4 now i take him out side for toilet but does not go got to sit with him for 30 mins then hes fine until about 630 ish.

i just got back from the vet and he gave some stuff to give him and checked his poo because they have been runny today he thinks it just the stress of moving but thinks everything will be fine so thanks to the people that have given me advice last few days he starts puppy pre school next week

hi i just picked up my 8 week old westie on the weekend first night ate all his food fine, but didnt sleep, next night only had half his food he has a small bowl of dry food that he can get to any time then two good spoons of can puppy meat. Now i know when dogs eat grass its because they are sick but i think its just something to chew on is this something puppys do, i haven't had a dog since i was young so any help would be great.
