Thank you for the recommendations will do that :) Do most butchers sell the turkey necks? I havent found them yet. Admittedly i havent actually asked the butcher if they sell them though

What bones do you suggest twodoggies2001? necks might be a bit small but shes not a scoffer so she would probably eat them okay.. perhaps i should do the tough luck thing either she eats it or nothing else til next meal.

Does anyone's fussy dog not like the fat on chicken wings? she's licking at the chicken starts munching then gets to the more fatty part of the chicken and spits it out and backs away from it She has not gotten through an entire chicken wing yet should i try the wingettes instead or a carcass cut up smaller (an entire one would be too big for her)... she ate those when she was younger, maybe she will eat them instead?? Any ideas?

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess it'll be a bit of trial and error. Satu has a really good stomach, the only time we had an issue with her was when i bought some chicken carcasses when she was little and they were contaminated and she got food poisoning. Of course i have never purchased there ever since. So far she with bones has eaten lamb necks and chicken wings. wasnt interested in the beef brisket today.. I think it'll take a few weeks or so to get used to the bones.

Ok so it seems my question was not valid anymore. The app on my phone told me it is going to be 36 deg then checked the site on bom and it tells me 28  I faint when it gets too hot so I will not show when it's too hot. I only was asking in general what the cut off for cancellation of shows was. I have a Lappie who HATES hot weather so it's nother fair on her or me when it's hot. Thanks for the replies guys.

Yes well this morning she decided she didn't want the beef with flaxseed oil (out it went, she doesnt eat then bad luck here!) She ate it in her chicken but always ahhard one to get her to eat beef with the oil in it.

So what she's getting now... RAW Chicken or beef mince Lamb necks, chicken wings, brisket bones Variety of veggies (put through the food processor) Flaxseed oil Show stopper Getting some organ meat today hopefully she likes it! Will be putting the odd egg in as well. I'm not sure if she would like sardines but I'll give it a go :)

Thank you that helps! I have shows both days next weekend but will decide about sunday the night before (forecast is currently 36 so hoping it comes down before then!)

i'm more after what is considered hot than what people choose to show in. being relatively new to showing i am still very much learning. That is one of the things i'd like to find out what the general rule of thumb by clubs so to speak or more the point where i will find out what an individual club's hot weather cancellation policy is??
-
What temperature would you consider hot for you and your dogs to show in? I am undecided.

For someone who hasnt shown in summer much and always had pretty good forecast i was wondering what is considered extreme forecast for a show to be cancelled? TIA

I doubt she will touch it. I do give show stopper supplement to her anyway so that may well be suitable supplement on its own though I will need to ask about that. So this morning I got her chicken wings, brisket bones and lamb necks. I gave her a wing and she ate three quarters of it no problem :) I do give her flaxseed oil as well.

My 11 month old Finnish Lapphund I am struggling to get her to eat kibble. She absolutely loves the RAW i give her but kibble has always been an absolute challenge. It was suggested to me that i could switch her to the RAW diet 100% rather than only a small portion. She currently is eating RAW chicken or beef mince with Show Stopper powder mixed in and every second day she gets a raw meaty bone. She can be very fussy so I dont feel confident she will accept the taste of the vets all natural mix so my concern is not knowing what will be complete and balanced for her. Can tell me where i will need to improve on this.. RAW chicken or beef mince chicken wings/turkey necks/lamb necks offal vegies (only a small portion to the diet) I bag up her meat monthly so i think it wont take much longer to do a compete RAW diet. Any help appreciated

I have had all three of my dogs who have died in the last 5 years cremated. All 3 reside in specially made wooden carved boxes in my bedroom. I would like a keepsake of them but havent found the right one i am looking for in the right price yet.

I am on the market for some much better show shoes. Just wondering what others wear. I have just bought my first skirt suit - previously always been wearing pant suits. The shoes i have been wearing for the pant suits give me very painful ankles (sketchers). would like an insight to what most people are wearing with their skirt suits :)
