RL: Thats horrible! Give Min our well wishes for her. What a nightmare for you and Min. Hopefully the KC eases at your place soon, I have had it here once and it was horrible. Hopefully you'll make it to kepala again soon, it wasnt the same without you and your beautiful rotties I had a great day too guys, thanks very muchly. We had both missed it so much the last couple months. It seems Charlotte is definately in a third puppyhood, the surgery was definately the best thing I did for her, she has never been that energetic before except for when she was alot younger

I've pinched some of the photos of Charlotte and put on Facebook. Hope you dont mind.

Thanks LM. I think today it did both her and I good to come to kepala.

Oh they're lovely! She was just such a happy girl today, so impressed with how good she was today. I must admit to being a bit jubious about how she'd go with the legs, but would you believe she's had her rest and now doing zoomies again! :D I have my silly almost 5 year old puppy back again!

Great pics so far. I better start uploading, Charlotte and I crashed as soon as we got home! With only 3 hours sleep last night i was exhausted. I was like an insomniac last night! :D LM: I meant to ask you to get a picture of me with Charlotte but totally forgot. Maybe next time!

Pip: I understand what you mean about Tika's coat. We had so many Sams come in for grooms who were very badly matted and it literally took hours to get through it all. Good idea to warm her to it. I had to warm Charlotte to grooming when i got her too. She used to bite my hand if i touched her tail. She went in for a professional groom when i got her as I just couldnt handle trying to do her. After a few months she eventually let me touch it until she finally allowed me to brush it. I wont say she loves her tail being brushed, but she at least lets me brush it. It does take time for dogs to let us brush them particularly if we acquire them as adults. It can be very difficult at times with some dogs who dislike grooming. The most part Charlotte loves the grooming and smiles at me while i do it, it's just once i get to the tail end she gets nervous and hates it. LM: Hopefully the potential puppy people are interested B&S: Hopefully you get the knee op very soon and will be back at kepala before you know it! See you all in the morning!

Me! I figure theres dryers there anyways and Charlotte associates every kepala to a swim so who am i to take that away from a water baby!

When Charlotte first came here she used to bounce and go crazy when she met other dogs! However that day onwards she had the most magnificant recall. I let her off lead 3 days after picking her up from her previous home and she went straight in a river swam after ducks then back to me when i called her I have done limited training with her, she is just one of those dogs that has been easy to set down house rules to I know a nice place to go to as well, Ruffey Lake Park. Good for the water babies and is a MASSIVE off lead dog park. It is out in Doncaster, but it's brilliant. I used to go there weekly but havent been for a while. I have ALWAYS wanted to go to the dog beaches but never got down there. Anyone know which the good ones are? Werribee sounds like a good idea Pointees. I have to go down to Wyndham Vale in a few weeks which i believe is close to Werribee? forgot to add, Charlotte dribbles big puddles when she is told off or if she gets a fright from a dog who isnt as social as herself! She doesnt dribble at other times though. I'm sure your dog will grow out of it

If theres anything else we need I can call into the supermarket on the way. Just let me know if you want anything else LM

That is very interesting to know about the Vitamin E /Arnica being good for inflammation. Thanks for posting that BD My dog has had a ACL repair done almost 8 weeks ago, and she was prescribed Rimadyl chewables for 7 days. However never again will I let her be on these drugs. I went through far too much with my previous Golden Retriever who died aged 6 years, she had severe HD ED and Arthritis and over the course of her 6 years was on Rimadyl, Metacam, Cartrophen injections and Zydol all from the vet and each eventually caused problems (vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy) to her and of course in the end her stomach had ulcers because of long term use on the drugs. Her death was due to Lymphoma not drug reactions, but it does go to show just how common these reactions are that vets do not inform their clients about :D Vernie: It will take time for your family to come to terms with Bailey being gone, in the meantime we are here if you need Keeping you in my thoughts. I'm sorry to everyone else who has lost their dogs to the dreadful drugs, I cant possibly imagine what you have all gone through with losing your dogs to these horrible drugs.
-
Oh my god that is just horrible!! I am so sorry for your loss. Run Free Bailey Thank you for that. Where can I find what breeds are most at risk to the drug? Is it in Golden Retrievers too. My Golden Retriever has been on Rimadyl a few times.

Just do the same as me, but we will all keep a very close eye on the dogs given Buffy's last experience with kepala and i'll be watching Charlotte like a hawk in case she hurts herself (which i doubt she will but just in case!). I just hope she isnt a naughty dog and terrorises everyone! She should be ok, i hope! I so cant wait til sunday, i'll make those yummy brownies tomorrow Hope Min is ok! Sorry for my ignorance, but i know what pyometra is but how do they treat it? Not having had entire dogs before I don't know this!

The only time i have ever been in south east is only by public transport never been by car and i am certain if i asked mum she'd definately get VERY lost. Dad never drives far, spose one of these days i will get my license. It doesnt help i have a car that mum has taken and drives instead of her own!

Me too Evolving, i have no idea where it is either. I am over north east.
