They dont need to be under for a tear test !it is a simple proccdure that involves A strip of paper inserted in the eye & a count taken for results my old cocker bitch has very sticky eyes & she was tested last week;; quick & easy; she is also on eye creams that seem to be doing nothing!!!it could also be the change of seasons (Crazy Weather )that is addingTo your little darlins problem ;Cause when they go out to play they seem to collect more dirt in the wet areas ;so make sure u keep her eyes clean; good luck

did your vet do a tear test?try bathing the eyes each morning with warm salt water only wiping across the eye once with a clean swab each time (UNINPREGNATED make up remover pads are excellent for this; teething does make the problem worse .

WHY does your post start with SICK spaniel? is he showing signs of being off color or is it just his different behavior ?there is nothing strange about a spaniel following a scrent after all they r from the gundog group & are extremly good hunters of almost anything that moves: also very playfull !!he may just be playing ;has he become agressive @ all need these ? ansewed b4 I can add any more comments; but if you r @ all conserned with health issues then see a vet or talk to his breeder

When u take your pup out for (wee wee)or whatever you call it; repeat the word over & over again :stay with pup til it performs do not go inside till mission acumplished ;& then praise praise praise!!ITs hard going to start with but it pays of in the long run good luck

imo stay with mum; if thats the only way she will feed her pups; they need the antibodies in these early days & them suckling will increase the milk supply ;stick with it ;its worth it in the long run! & mum will probally be more excepting of them soon; good luck keep up the good work

How is the wound looking? is she off color@ all apart from being a desexed new mum!!have u checked her temp ?it is probally from the milk c/min in if there are no signs of fever

So sorry to hear about your little friend;my thoughts r with you hanvin gone through a similar situation but the dog in ? was only just over ! yr old ;he was given kemo but only stayed in remission for 3 mnths @ least your boy has had a good inings ;although that dosnt help with your pain i know ;please keep us posted with the outcome ;hope its good news

vet visit in order but in the mean time bath eyes with warm salty water only wipe once across the eye with whatever u use for swabbing( i find make up remover pads good )uninpregnated of corse;
