Undescended Testicle Question
Cockerlover replied to KismetKat's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I think your vet is seeing $$$$$ signs if there is no evidence of hip probs then PLEASE wait to desex till older, the chances of the other testical desending are pretty good if given a chance ,dont panic -

Hi Tigerjess, welcome to the wonderfull world of cockers re the tiolet traing as others have said ,it takes time & paitiance take your baby outside after eating, sleeping, playing, its a circle of eat, p, sleep, p ,play, p ,!!!!stay with yr baby till she performes, then make a really big deal o f it say the same thing like, do wee wee or whatever term u use ,do not scold if accidents happen inside ,simply say no & take baby outside to toilet spot ;she will eventualy get the message !! now re the feeding,I wouldnt be to conserned re amount eaten, as she no longer has to compete with the rest of her litter ,but imo she should be on puppy kibble NOT adult .Are you mixing the other food with kibble ?my advise would be to do this, other wise she will refuse the kibble ,also make the transition from adult to puppy kibble gradual or she may have an upset tummy .if you ned any advise @ all please feel free to pm me ,good luck & hang in there you have choosen a wonderfull bred & have a loyal friend for life .

slicker brushes imo are useless with matted coats, comb daily or clip face ,try using a knot breaker comb on matted body parts.a small battery operated clipper would surfice for the face
-
Dont have anything more to add than has already been said ,but i personally dont like bones . also cut down on the sardines maybe 1 sardine a week, imo if the bloody stools continue ,then a vet check is the way to go ,heres hoping its nothing serious.

Hi golden girl,In ansew to your ? ,--no she wasnt a show girl ,the scar was not visable, but could be felt as a dry patch after healing ,here hoping beaus op will reduce all scare tissue & he will fleece it again in the ring
-
Golden girl thanx for pic hes devine!!i also had a burn victim (a cocker of coarse )she had bioling water spilt on her back very nasty scar but in time it healed ,but there was always a risk when grooming of hitting the patch although the hair grew back ok the scared tissues remained ,beau should be ok as thier coat is a lot thicker than that of a cocker imo ,thoughts r with u

My Short Coated Puppy Has Dandruff Would Fish Oil Help?
Cockerlover replied to kelly's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Try feeding mackeral in veggie iol or just add a little vegie iol to dinner ,also lots of brushing will help -
Congratulations Dogon ,your chioce of breed couldnt be bettered imo :laugh:But do make sure that pup learns from day1 that u r the boss!! they have a way of conning us!!! them cockers If u do decide to wait till yr hols to get bubby ,then start leaving him for short periods @ a time.(dont make a big deal of coming & going either) gradually increasing yr absence ,so that when you return to work he will be used to time alone.Theres nothing wrong with having a bed partner ,but only when u invite him to jion you !! trusting yr cocker will bring you years of joy & its so refreshing to see you taking responsobility before you have yr friend for life. Make sure you puppy proof his area!! they just love socks ,undies ,soft toys,, tissues, tiolet rolls & electrical cords !!!the list goes on so be warned
-
pleased o hear its nothing serious ,hope hes ok to show ,& that you do well!!
