I always recomend raw carrots to my puppy buyers ,great for cleaning teeth & safer than bnes ,my lot get them @ least once a week .but it does come out the other end undigested !!!

THanx vericool for the link ,ive read some of the posts & will continue on later .Pleased to hear I am not the only panic merchant !but one feels so helpless ,im sure we as owners, suffer more than the poor dog having the fit !

Thanx T, my vet told me all that ,he also said it could be a one off ,so heres praying . i have to keep a diary of lenth of time fits last & how often , It something i wouldnt wish on anyone ,extremly scary, cause not much you can do except ride it out .

Hi ,my 16 month old cocker had his first fit last nite ,followed by another this morning , I have been to my vet & had full bloods done & await the results .It was a very scary experiance & my first incounter with a dog fitting , If any one has any advise Or information ,I would be more than gratefull for such .thankyou

Hi gmc ,congratulations on your new pup, if you keep going to yr pup ,it will learn that it only has to whimper & it gets attention !!if it is let out to tiolet before bed it should be able to go more than a few hrs without the need to go again ,i would be getting up maybe once in the night but no more ,yes pup will cry cause its already got you under the PAW !! :D so now has to learn that u r not going to let it out whenever it feels like it !!!if you continue to do this pup has won!!!!!& you r making a rod for your own back . Was the pup paper trained by your breeder ?if so & you chose to let it sleep in the laundry <i suggest you ly newspaper near the door ,so it can relieve itself. number one rule with a new pup is start as you mean to go on !! :rolleyes: good luck ,there is a light , ............. though we sleepdeprived one wonders!

Hi mandy ,congratulations on your new baby ,most puppies will do this if allowed ,but it must be nipped in the bud, so to speak ,a firm NO ,will help but if this fails, try stamping yr foot very hard with the NO command ,if you keep walking whilst pup is latched on it will see it as a game ,it must be taught this is not apropriate behaviour ,persistance pays dividends .

pupy formular =biolac or similar, that you supp fed pups on.mix to a paste with required amount of bioled water then add raw egg, beat & top up to correct consistancy with bioled water .

onward & upward !!have you tried giving him puppy formular mixed with an egg /served warm ?

Try baby powder to absorb the oil before bathing.

posibly the neck ?keep an eye on her ,vet visit if not inproved after witholding food for 12 hrs . also when giving chicken necks it is advisable to cut them up, as some dogs swalow them whole & they r not digested correctly.

try not to worry some bitches do this !!try giving her food @ room tempreture this sometimes appeals.

Firstly t imo you r normal !!you wouldnt be if you wernt worried!!!!!! I am no expert ,but maybe someone else here can add advise re feeding ,if it were me i would be trying him on very small amounts of mushy stuff eg baby porride ,or blended chicken ,but really slushy ,like weaning a baby,but check with the witch doctors first , from what you r telling us ,its sounding pretty good ,but imo you need to get the tests done to confirm hes on the mend . stay posotive please & try to have a merry christmas ,be thankfull for small mercies :p

cant really make a dog interested in balls ,some r some arnt,try smearing some vegimite on it !! let her sniff it b4 you throw it ,& if she does become interested, be sure you take the ball from her @ end of game ,to let her know yr in charge of the game ,good luck.
