Rescue remedy ,Or & brandy for yourself

Try giving him beef liver tea ,or nutradrops. I will pm you the recipe, good luck ,try putting him on mum & supporting him under the chin whilst he is feeding . Also make sure you keep him really warm & that he is not dehydrated.

Old Dogs And Changing Their Living Conditions.

Good to hear it is only old age ! you can buy mats that are waterproof for dogs, just hose them off, or a fleecy blanket that washes & drys easily . Hope he & you enjoy ,his twilight years, good on you for making them in a loving home -
Most of what has been said in the latter parts of this post ,were all part of my initial concern ,(before I was jumped on by another poster) Cockers are an exuberant breed & if not trained & socialised correctly ,could cause heart ache not only for the dog but the prospective new family. I would be the last person to say, don't rescue a cocker !but i feel a lot more consideration needed be fore making your decision. Brindle is not what we call parti color cockers ,i imagine it is a blue or gold roan . Some one mentioned rage syndrome  Any reputable breeder would NEVER breed with this problem & it has long been bred out of lines . Are the present owners breeders ,& yes why ,has this poor little pup got to be re homed ,whilst others can stay ?

stick with one brand of kibble ,if you keep changing the brand ,it will cause tummy upsets Try soaking the kibble in chicken stock & adding a little chicken or mince in with the kibble .

poor old darling here's trusting his health issues are treatable Imo ,he should be where he is most comfortable ,& spend his twilight years knowing he is loved. As has already been said ,he will ajust to the good life im sure ,given a couple of weeks . Will your other dogs except him though? -
If that is the case, no rescue dogs would ever be rehomed. This pup needs a new home where it will be wanted, and the reason why is hardly important. Gareth ,you have jumped in before seeing what I meant the op has already told us that the dog jumps up ;NOTE it is to be raised with children ,THAT was my number 1 concern
-
Cockers r normally great with kids!but do have a habit of jumping up ,if not taught correct behaviour . One has to wonder why this pup is looking for a new home? Personally i feel you would be better off getting a pup that you know something about its back ground, ie parentage ect . This being a cross thats anyone's quess, but by meeting the pup you may get some ideas of temperament ,which is VERY inportant if it isto be bought up with kids God luck anyway

Thoughts are with you both ,such a sad time ,run free little ones

:thumbsup:welcome to DOL ,Congratulations on your new friend !pics are a must ! lots of good advise here ,as has been said already ,if you change her diet do it gradually ,cut out canned food, imo (not a fan of such) & cut up the necks ,other wise she will not digest them propally & supervise whilst she is eating them . good luck & Pawsup -
Once you allow her on your bed <you will have a sleeping partner FOREVER!!!!!
-
Get the vet to check it out whil shes under . does she have dew claws still? could be in growing
-
Cb have pm you
-
Sorry cant help with vet recomendations ,but can only tell of my experiance re chemo, in a very young dog who had lymphoma, the owner spent $$$$$on chemo & the dog was only in remission for 3mnths ,Suffered extremly & was constantly @ the emergency vets with complicatons . I watched with horror & vowed I would NEVER put a dog through this !!! sadly he was given his wings b4 his first birthday . So sorry to hear your darlin is sick & trust holelistic meds will help him live a comfortable life in his twighlite years
-
Start as you mean to continue ,leaving pup for longer periods of time during settling in time ,remembering that pup wil be sleeping a lot for first few weeks .
