www.trackwest.com.au Oh really? I might see if I can get to that as well. For awhile there it hadn't been updated - glad it has. Will keep checking back more often now!
-
I haven't been on the site for awhile, after lack of contact about joining and nothing being updated I left it. And then look what happens. Maybe I can join then as well..... We're going and I'm asking a friend if she want's to bring Ella's boyfriend Jakey along as well __ With tracking, I have it in my head April 10th - but on the site I can't find anything on there about it until end of April. Was there something happening then or am I imagining it all?!

Oh I am!! Is that from the GRWA??

*please excuse any errors. Doing this from my phone and for some reason cuts off half the box so I can't see!* I have really enjoyed reading this for some reason. I agree with majority, dogs choose you, whether it be as a pup who when entering the family picks it's person or a rescue dog who finds you and it just is. Our first dog that I remember was my Dads. We picked her up from the shelter (GSD x Blue Heeler) and the big winner for her was she didn't jump up at us as others had and sat by Dad . She loved us all and would do as we asked but she would always be at his side, feet or on his lap if he let her on the sofa! My dog, same kind of thing. Also a rescue and when I saw him, I knew. I was 12 when I got him and it wa a s wonderful experience having a bond like that growing up. I hope myy kids get to as well.

Yup, it's good though cause at least we can go up together and organise our own training and stuff.

Oh poor Dougal, he is super lovely. Was nice to meet you both at tracking! Ella is pooped out and we're both laying in bed having a nap I think this will be what all our Saturdays are like from now on!

Me Me Me !!!! ;) I'll be at tracking with Ella...

Sadly I don't think you can do anything. It's terrible but there are many more out there like this and that is the problem. Wait for the next litter and see what story she comes up with then. (sorry if I am being presumptuous but do you blame me?)
-
Lets just see if she can get the story straight first?? Maybe check her spelling?! If she is rescuing them, why not hand them over to an organisation and free herself of the burden? - edit: posted as you did. Answers that question!!

Me to. That is shocking!

Future Mother In Law but that usually sounds about right Nice photos though, I love a wedding!

How horrible. I had to go get our pup and a friends from day care and the usual 15min drive to there from work took me 45mins and then another hour to get home (usually 20mins top) I have never had to deal with hail like that before, especially drive in it. Scared the bajesus out me. Not a fan. We were really lucky - no damages and no power loss and Ella is fine with the weather. She loves rain (part of her water obsession) and thunder/lightning doesn't phase her. We're very lucky.

I like that idea! I don't really have anything to contribute, sounds like a horrible position to be in. I hope it has a happy ending :D

She is just lovely. "mismarked" or not ... she is beautiful.

I had that exact thought only about my pup Ella -- This is my last boy Chocky. He was 12 when he went to the bridge and 3 years on I still miss him more than anything. I am sure he was my heart dog.

Wow, that is lovely to watch. I like the look on the Boxers face as he gets it and closes his eyes and face kinda smooshes up. Very nice indeed. -
TV, especially when a 'celeb' of some kind gets involved really does help an issue. I think (please don't flame me - just my thoughts!!) due to shows like A Current Affair, Today Tonight and the RSPCA show on 7 and shows on Foxtel, the puppy farm issue is being seen more and more. Despite the misleading nature of these programs some of the time (ok more often than not) at least the shocking images and footage of the horrible conditions they are kept in are getting into the public. Sadly it's not quite enough but at least it's something. At work I often do the whole spill I am sure most of you know and do also, when talking about getting a puppy or something and advise against pet shops and to do breed research etc etc and a few weeks ago after seeing something on the RSPCA show, one lady brought it up and said she rarely watched it but found herself able to and was shocked and disgusted by it. I sent her some links to sites like "say no to pet shops" and "where do puppies come from" Her response after this was why is it not more of a common knowledge thing?! But at least it got through to her and maybe someone else had a breakthrough that night as well. If high advertisers like the RSPCA directed more of their time to such things then maybe it will become more 'common knowledge' as it would be harder for people to tune out and not pay attention. Just my 2c worth edits: typed quickly, bad spelling. sorry!

Oh is it really simple? All the stuff I see come from it looks awesome so I presumed it would be hard. I might just get it and have a play around with it then, I usually find it the best way to learn!

Ok I am quite the computer novice when it comes these kind of things, hope you don't mind me asking.... Is that done the adobe photoshop? :D I am looking at doing a short course on it, cause that was pretty cool and I'd love to do that with some of my photos!

No expert but I think the eyes open thing is to stop being snuck up upon while sleeping kind of thing. I have often wondered if they dream as we do, like about things and places they've been. The first time we took her to the beach she slept very figity and made a few whine noises so I was paranoid it was like a nightmare of what she just experienced. Otherwise when she sleeps she is out like a log and looks so peaceful. Wish I could sleep like that!!
