ok here are some shots from today. the first few were taken on auto, but most were taken on aperture priority as i'm determined to use auto less this year lol It was very windy most of today. seems to have died off now tho. annoyed at that hair on her nose, but otherwise i like her expression. she hates photos and is a very unphotogenic dog lol this one i was testing low light in my wardrobe

ok i just picked mine up from the post office this morning, have taken a couple of random shots to make sure it worked, but i'm in love already am hoping to get out of the house this afternoon to get some better shots than my random ones. hopefully it won't take too long to get used to no zooming lol

so who has which kelly moore bag and in which colour. i really like the b-hobo, and also the classic, but really having trouble picking the colour. i have ruled out some colours, as i don't like them with the purple lining. i was pretty sure i was going to get the b-hobo in walnut, but then i realised it has brass fittings and not silver like all the others, so ruled that one out too, now looking at the light grey, the black and the teal in the classic, i like the grey and the black and the teal (are you seeing a theme) lol but i keep changing my mind. am thinking of getting one of each, but just can't decide on colours. am thinking maybe the grey in both, as one is the light grey and one is dark grey, kind of almost black.

Day 10: Just after sunset (not very good as i had trouble getting it in focus) Day 11: Dinner time this little guy was walking around my backyard eating worms. he didn't notice me come out, so i went back in and got the camera and he didn't seem to care i took a million photos of him. it was also raining really bad that day, so we kept finding birds coming under out outdoor entertaining area to eat out of the rain Day 12: Preparing for the floods went to a movie at balmoral. when we got there, their power was out and they only had 12 customers. all their doors were wide open, but most shops/restaurants were closed and had sandbagged. when we came out of the movie, the cinema was still open, but had shut all doors but one and placed sandbags behind them. i have found out that they weren't flooded in the end (taken on my iphone) Day 13: Aperture editing i didn't have anything to take a photo of yesterday, so i edited this one taken earlier in the month instead

2 - 3 weeks to make the bag, and then it still has to be shipped from the USA, so whoever go it in 5 weeks is what i would expect to wait at the moment for one of those bags.

maybe she is running parrallel's and so has windows also installed on her mac. i don't as i didn't feel my hdd was big enough to have both (i only have 80gb free and windows needed a fair chunk of that, and at the time i only wanted it for doing etax so i didn't end up doing it. when i look on it it says 'windows vista and 7' as supported

thanks huga. i wanted something similar to yours, in that it's barely noticeable unless you go looking for it lol on looking further, i'm on a mac and it doesn't look like it'll be compatible

so, i downloaded lightroom trial this afternoon, i'm not sure i like it, as it's not user friendly and i can't figure out some simple things (including how to put images in folders, and import my iphoto libary, etc) so am looking at aperture 3 as a program (downloading trial now). i've googled adding watermarks in aperture, and it's a bit hit and miss, but, i need to create a watermark as an image. is anyone able to help me? i don't have photoshop, and it seems like i need photoshop, but as i can't figure out lightroom, i don't really wanna download photoshop to just try and create a watermark. is there any other way i can create a watermark without photoshop?

thankfully work up still high and dry. the overflow area behind us has no water in it, so we're very thankfully for the lower than expected peak.

power is back on, so have internet again. i'm in camp hill, flood overflow will go right behind our property. was told the 74 floods didn't come anywhere near here though, so hopefully we'll be safe.

my dad used to be a photojournalist up until about the mid 90's, when he had a number of publications owing him thousand's declare bankrupt. by then he'd had enough and got a regular job. he started off doing it part time/casually on weekends and stuff (on top of wedding photography), as he was working full time, but in the early 90's it was his sole source of income, which is why he threw in the towel after a few bad experiences and went back to the industry he was in prior. eta. it's a tough industry to get into, and i believe whilst the digital age makes it easier, it also makes it harder for the same reason
