  1. Not sure if this will help any, but I've also got a dog that doesn't seem all that fussed about eating. I've recently discovered he loves cooked oats and I think this is helping put weight on him. You have a very beautiful dog.
  2. Same applies for vomitting. Both mine are good now after a 24 hr fast
  3. Can I just add when giving fish oil, from Vets advice, it should have the 3 AND 6 omega's. There's loads of fish oil's out there, but they don't all contain the omega 6, which is also very important.
  4. Hi Folk's I'm normally just a lurker here, but recent problems with our 3 year old Bully bitch, that we've only had for about 6 weeks, has me asking questions. I'm just wondering if anyone else is or has gone thru the same hassles. The paw problem, the Vet has told me is caused by the staphylococcus bacteria, between the toes. It has infected the 'sinus's' between the toes. We've had all 4 paws scraped, flushed with hydrogen peroxide, put on antibiotic's as well as macralore (not sure if that's cortisone or not) 2 weeks later the problem was only evident in 2 places and the Vet has removed the sinus's altogether in each of her front paws. She is healing well and is still very happy, considering what she's been thru. Today tho I have noticed her back paws look like the staph is back, even tho she has been on the antibiotics Has anyone else had a similar experience and what has been done about it? We can't afford surgery again and wonder if there is another way of dealing with this? Any advice is appreciated.
  5. Thank you for that info much appreciated.
  6. My boy has done a similar thing, except it was his dew (spelling?) claw. He's completely ripped it out somehow. There was alot of blood when I got home. I've washed, betadined and bandaged it. After 24hrs it looks pretty good, clean and I have rebandaged it. I have a few questions tho. Should I wash it each time before I rebandage? and how long till I should start leaving it open to start drying out? Also I know it is annoying him pain wise and wonder if I can only get pain killers from the vets for him? Can I add anything extra to his food as an added benefit to help in healing of wounds?
  7. Hi All, My Bullies have a habit of cooking themselves in the sun. When I'm home I can keep them in the house, but working full time makes it impossible. They've got loads of shade to go to but just love to sunbake. Last few summers I've zinced up their noses and my boys dangly bits  but I'm not so keen to do it this summer. It's messy and everything sticks to the white zinc. And when you got a white dog it just looks awful. Does anyone else put sunscreen on their dogs and what product do you use?
