  1. Happy Birthday, Daisy - have a POODLICIOUS day
  2. I'm not affiliated in any way with Deshonko, but I think I can tell you what her refund policy is: REFUND??
  3. Oh dear - prepare to be flamed for this Some people on here do not like anyone saying a WORD against their beloved breed.
  4. Ohh yes - now, can I talk Mr.Poodlemum into being Mr.Borzoimum?
  5. He is a stunner!! And so is Oberon. Not many breeds which I think are comparable in looks to Poodles, but Borzois definitely are :D
  6. Interesting....did you hear clearly? Poodle...cavoodle sound very similar. ETA Tony Abbott did call her a mincing poodle ;) No, it was Julia who called Christopher Pyne a "mincing poodle" - easy enough to check these things before posting
  7. Yes, angelandthefairies, I would suggest getting this moved so that it will be seen by more people with experience in breeding.
  8. :D  Awwww, c'mon - she's got to make money somehow!!
  9. As a breeder of 17 years standing, I'm afraid I agree with this 100% - let this little guy go.
  10. I have too - this is my message - kept it short thinking she's more likely to read it than a long screed: Prime Minister, please may I ask you to reconsider your choice of puppy. By purchasing a crossbreed "designer dog" you are supporting puppy farms and the misery that the breeding stock (for the dogs are regarded as "stock", not beloved pets) suffer. I beseech you to look at this site:http://www.oscarslaw.org/ which will tell you something about puppy farms, such as the one you will be VALIDATING by purchasing a cavalier/poodle cross. Are you aware that, for the same price or possibly less, you could purchase a purebred Cavalier or Poodle from a registered breeder who cares about and health tests their breeding dogs? Oh, and the bit about Poodles being "water spaniels" - I've had Poodles for over 30 years & never knew they were actually Spaniels
  11. You'd be hoping in vain. I can think of at least one in our own breed that exports whole litters regularly. I know . I realise that, unfortunately, What I HOPE for & reality are 2 different things.
  12. OK, that makes sense! I guess one would HOPE that no registered breeder would also be a puppy farmer
  13. You can own a prefix with Vic dogs and never breed a puppy or you can breed cross bred puppies or you can breed cross bred and purebred puppies . Lots of people who breed cross bred dogs have a Vicdogs membership and are therefore exempt form all things other Vicdogs members are exempt from. Vicdogs can only say what you can do with your registered purebred dogs not what you can do with your unregistered dogs. The codes of conduct only cover what you can do with your registered purebreds and you dont need to show whether your dogs are registered purebreds to be exempt - you have to have Vicdogs membership and not own more than 10 fertile bitches. I am a member of Dogs Victoria & I'm pretty sure that it is EXPRESSLY forbidden for members to crossbreed their dogs (or to breed a registered dog with an unregistered dog) - I've been trying to find it on their website - no luck so far but I'll keep looking.
  14. This forum is Dogzonline Australia's PUREBRED dog community. for purebred dogs I thought I consider this whole thread to be a contravention of forum rules - I can't understand why it's still going. To those of you who are so hysterically vocal in supporting these cross-breeds - you are on the wrong forum
  15. stat dec forms are available to download here for Victoria http://www.justice.vic.gov.au/wps/wcm/connect/justlib/DOJ+Internet/resources/3/1/3128060041ca06659adbde57973ce764/Statutory_Declaration_form_2010.pdf
  16. Does this have something to do with the dogs seized from a breeder in Queensland? If so, she was a registered breeder, but one who gave breeders a bad name :mad
  17. Was at a local supermarket the other day - they have a notice board for customer ads. Someone had an ad for "Cavoodle" puppies . I couldn't resist - I crossed out "Cavoodle" and wrote "cross-bred mutts".
  18. - what does that make me & Persephone - we both got it straight away!
  19. Great to see Mum & pups doing well, after all the drama!
  20. Well - this IS a purebred dog forum - perhaps you should go elsewhere if you don't like people objecting to crossbred so-called "Designer Dogs"
  21. I think we're all flogging a dead horse here - the OP has been on DOL but has not come back to the thread - I'm sure glad it wasn't I who sold her the dog
  22. OH SHIT - then I really do advise you to do the right thing and return this dog to her breeder... You know what? it is not about what breed, it doesnt really matter. What matters is this pup/bitch is not wanted because it barks and is destructive and the OP wont just give her back to the breeder because she wants her money back. PP - send the bitch back. You are doing the wrong thing by the dog and the breed and the breeder. You dont want her, well if the breeder rehomes her maybe they will refund your money. I think Andisa is just worried knowing what problems an out-of-control Rottie could cause for the breed in general if the OP chose to advertise sell it to the first person who happened along with enough money to suit her. It's not all about the money, although you as (so you say) a breeder should know how much it costs to raise a puppy to the stage where it's ready for a new home, I just think that people feel that perhaps you should make some sacrifice, in a monetary form, as you are obviously not willing to sacrifice any time or effort for this poor dog.
