  1. It isn't even 24 hours since their first post. Not everyone accesses their personal messages and forums at work on their boss's time. But the OP had been on just before I posted my comment & hadn't replied to any of the questions - it just seemed like a deliberate sh*t-stir to me!
  2. One of my bitches ATE a maggotty possum, came inside & threw it up on the rug - the rug was tossed out after that.
  3. Anybody get a whiff of "Troll" here?
  4. I can certainly think of a few candidates! Nope, I believe it is a fault in the owner Hahah - too funny, and so so wrong!!! You're just SOOOOO lucky I cropped out the owner from the photo - truly horrifying :D coffee splurks on keyboard
  5. I also love the Phantom or, as they're sometimes called, the Harlequin Poodles! ETA - that smooth Afghan is a stunning-looking dog!
  6. :D ;) and Ziggy is gorgeous, as well!
  7. :D That's exactly what OH does!! hehe - all dogs understand the "Oiii" command from an early age! I have sometimes had one particular puppy in the litter who wants to dominate everyone. Usually I let it run it's course, but will intervene if the play gets tooo rough - especially if, as in the last litter, there is one puppy much smaller than the others & she's being picked on.
  8. I have had this same experience with 3 different bitches over the years - all turned a bit "fussy" at about the 4-week stage. My first bitch, Sascha never liked raw red meat as a rule and we could always tell that she was pregnant we she started to crave raw red meat. OT, Bokezu - your signature picture is very striking - your dogs look like a pride of lions in the Serengeti
  9. This is a great idea, Christina - I try to keep in touch with my puppy buyers, as well. Still get the occasional email from someone who bought a puppy from me 15 years ago!
  10. I'll have to try teaching the "pick it up" command - quicker than "Now Dylan, you know the rule about bones in the house"
  11. :D Love the Fleabie pictures - she would get along well with Dylan - another escape artist!
  12. Please do! I would love to see some other puppy pictures, of ANY breed
  13. Harrison (at 6 months) Puppies having a game of Hide & Seek (my ex couldn't understand why I kept the old fishpond liner around )
  14. not sure what you mean, but the photo is of Harrison running down to the dam (kicking his back legs up) to teach the kiddies the joys of getting wet & muddy - just before potential puppy buyers are due, of course ETA - I have enlarged Harrison a bit - might be easier to see that he's kicking his back legs out as he runs
  15. Feeling guilty for turning the "Dinner Table" thread in a "pictures of Miss Emily" thread So here's a thread for cute puppy pictures. I don't have any really recent ones as my youngest dog, Dylan, is now 2 1/2 but here's some old ones: Dylan making one of his earliest escape bids 11 puppies CAN fit into one basket! Love this picture of Sophie, Dylan's mother Chicken necks nomnom
  16. If you can possibly put up with the long drive, I would stay with the Vet you currently have. I did this when I was in Melbourne and moved to a southern suburb which was also an hour's drive away - can't really do it now that I'm 3 1/2 hours away, though. A Vet whom you trust, and who knows you & your dogs, is worth his/her weight in gold!
  17. The best one I ever saw was the poster advertising Maltese/Shiatsu puppies - they're the ones that are small, white, fluffy & give you a massage GAH!! I don't even particularly have a soft spot for poodles but that would infuriate me! I used to get the same thing quite often.... when people would see my Black Standard Poodle Rose, they would often say, "I like your Labradoodle". She was clearly a nicely bred pedigreed SP bitch. Granted you don't see heaps of Standards around the streets, so I forgive these people, but it can be annoying can't it?! I used to forgive them, too & explain patiently what a "Standard" Poodle was - most people would be quite interested - had quite a few men comment "Oh, I always thought they were poofey little dogs, but your dog's what I call a DOG"
  18. No need to vacuum the Poodles , but I used to have a GSP who just LOVED being vacuumed - he would lie there with a dreamy expression on his face ETA - Poodles, like nature, abhor a vacuum
  19. Doncha just LOVE these experts - The number of times I've been told that my dog "Must be a Labradoodle, Poodles don't grow that big"
  20. I just Googled "Alpha Roll" OMG - did people actually DO this?
  21. Don't you just LOVE it when your Dog does what He/She's supposed to do :p
  22. OT, sorry - what's the Alpha Roll? Yelllowgirl - you have my admiration for your rescue of this dog - hope you & she have many good years together!
