If you get one of the plactic moulded beds, big enough for a fully grown cocker, you can fill it with what ever bedding you like, they are realy easy to clean and great for indoors or out. as for basic grooming for a Cocker, i would get a Good pin brush, A comb, with longish teeth not to close together, and a slicker. I find if you pay a bit more for good brands they will last you yrs.

    Bitting

Do you have some where you can put her/him with a chew toy or a pig's ear? some thing like a crate, just for a time out, you need to stop her every time she does it, with a distraction she will enjoy more then the brick. If it's just 1 brick you could try lemon juice on it, hopfully she wont like the taste and stop chewing it. good luck
  5. Mojo has been great, untill today, he is vomiting again, so it's off to sydney to have some more tests done
  6. rather then my typing it all out this should provide your answer Puggles http://www.agric.nsw.gov.au/reader/aw-code...e/aw-code-5.htm
  7. Law? I wasn't aware that it was 'illegal' to not vaccinate your dog ............... I believe it is a policy of boarding kennel establishments to request current vaccination certificates and not a legal requirement? Or perhaps it is a legal requirement that they only accept vaccinated dogs? Can someone clarify. when oh gets home i will get him to find our COE, im not even sure who sets it or if it is law so to speak
  8. at the bottom of your offical show entry form it says i certify that this exhibit has not with in the said period of 3 mths been in kennels affected with distemper, canine hep, pavo, or any other CONTAGIOUS or INFECTIOUS disease and that during the last 12 mth prior to the date of this show the dog was vaccinated. i would assume this includes KC
  9. i dont think it was the vac that caused your dog to get KC, it can take up to 12 days fro a dog to show any symptoms he may have got it from another dog at the vet. dogs can DIE from KC complications. i sure as hell am not going to take that chance with my dogs
  10. Dogs that get the KC VAC every year can still get KC, its like the human cold, what it does do, is lessen the serverity of KC. KC can turn nasty and kill dogs. It is a vac that does not stay in the dogs system so yearly vac is recomended. There is a misconception that KC is only caught in Boarding kennels. Its an air born virous and your dog can catch it any where.
  11. Would you take one that the vet has marked not due for vac for 3 years instead of annually Untill our COE is changed, no i would not.
  12. Although i compleatly agree with it, and would follow the recomendations(if i didnt own a boarding kennel). As a kennel operator i would not be willing to take a 5 yr old dog or cat that had not had its vaccination done yearly. Actualy we are bound by our COE not to take them.

Vets are still concerned about the liver and have given us some antibiotics and some steriods, we have to feed him mushy food for a week see if he can keep that down, and if he doesnt seem to get any better, an ulta sound will be done. I am soooo greatfull for the lovley responces you have given me with helpfull hints, well wishes, and suport. big hugs to you all. lets just see how the week goes and i will keep you up to date thank you lea

  19. Thanks every one i am trying to keep positive untill the final tests are back, but want to be prepeard for the worst as well. Mojo had a toe removed 12 mths ago from cancer, we also had Mojo's dad, Nelson, PTS because of toe cancer that spread to his lungs, only 6 mths ago. So i am hoping the toe cancer hasn't spread to Mojo's liver. we found a great holistic vet that helped us a lot with nelson and he lived 2 yrs longer then he was given buy the traditional vet. They told us he has 6 weeks to live,So i will Definatly be contacting her for Mojo if it turn's out for the worst. thank you again for you kindness and suport. lea
