thanks everyone for your advice! She is much better now. I had to wrap up her leg for a while to stop her licking it and cleaning it well.

Hi I accidentally cut my poor dog's nails this afternoon and she happened to move and it cut it too deep and it started bleeding. We managed to stop it but then she went out and had a play and it has started up again and is bleeding more than before. Do you have some tips to stop the bleeding?

Wondering whether this is any good?? Any comments? Better than advance?

She seems to be normal in every other aspect. Healthy Appetite, full of energy. Just not pooping and her butt is protruding. I have rung the vet but they close at 1 or 2pm.

Just wondering if this is normal at all. I noticed after giving my dog a wash that her bum i.e. the hole is protruding. She hasn't gone to the toilet at all from yesterday evening until now. She doesn't seem to want to go to the toilet except to pee. Previously, she had problems with upset tummy and had soft stools for the week so we switched to chicken and rice. She also has bad breath when she burps. Is this normal? Should I consult a vet? Thank you

Update: This is the second day that my dog has been on the rice and roast chicken meals. She is very happy to eat it. So far, she hasn't gone as frequently as before. But her stool this morning was quite yellow and soft (a little runny at the end). Just wondering if this is normal?

actually is boiled chicken with rice alright? or does it have to be roast chicken? ta

Thanks for you advice.

Thanks for that...just a bit concerned because although she has been regular with her toileting - it is usually more than 2 times a day. I will try and tempt her with water, but she doesn't seem to drink much either

Hey Need some advice. After speaking to the vet this morning - he told us that our dog molly is having an upset stomach (because she didn't want to eat at all this morning) after we changed her food over (in hindsight I should have introduced it slowly! unfortunately you only know after the event)...he recommended peeling a roast chicken with rice for an upset stomach... She is resting now, doesn't want to play but still pulled me this morning during our walk. She went to the toilet before our walk, and during our walk as well (was a little soft and at the end she had a little bit of the runs) Phoned the vet who suggested roast chicken and rice. Just wondering what I should do when I get it ready for her, especially if she refuses to eat that too. Vet said to wait 48hours - if she gets worse i.e. vomiting - bring her in.

Just wondering - where is the browns plains shop that sells premium dog food cheap? Ta

I am not sure what was wrong this morning with her. She is a maltese x mini poodle. After her walk I left food out for her again and left her alone. I saw that she ate most of it with a little left over. It isn't normal for her not to want to eat in the mornings... Mind you, I only had her since the 25th Oct...

She is 16mths old. I took her for a walk - she was still very excited to go. She went toilet as well - she didn't have the runs, just normal. Tried to put the food out for her again after the walk, but she's not taking. I will see how she does later today and if not take her to the vet tomorrow. Thanks

Hi all I am just a wee bit concerned at how my dog is acting this morning. I always feed her in the morning and night. This morning though, she seemed disinterested in her food. I even tried to push the bowl towards her and she backed up from it. Then I brought the food inside to wait a while before I give it to her again, but when I went to watch her I saw her making soft sounds and she seemed to have coughed up a bit of white flem? I am not sure if I should be worried at all? It had been very hot here yesterday, and I don't think she had much water at all (she usually doesn't seem to drink that much) Any advice would be great

We are anxiously waiting for the dog obedience classes to start (this coming mon). I usually walk her in the mornings and someone else in the evening. So we will definately have to practice until she gets it. Atlhough today she didn't seem to 'PULL' that much and wld stop (although not by my side) when I stopped..so she still has a way to go yet Thanks everyone!

I usually try and keep the leash a little short at the moment so she isn't too far ahead for me. I do try and give her the tug and release the leash a little but she starts pulling again, I repeat this as well when she wants to go to the other side or me. Today I tried stopping everytime she pulled me or was going for a car etc..she was okay but she doesn't sit beside me at the moment. She is only little (5.3kg) but my hand still hurts a little by the end of her walk.

Hello I would appreciate any advice/tips to help me to stop my dog from constantly pulling on the leash. I usually try to calm her down a bit before she starts her walk i.e. sit and stay for a short while (as she is too energetic and eager), but when I start the walk she just keeps pulling me. Only near the end is gets tired and stops pulling me, but even then she does at times pull when she is tired.
