She's gorgeous. I have a full house though. Bit strange for me reading this. I had a grey from GAP, she was bred for showing, was brindle (although much darker), was cat friendly and her name was Phoebe!! She was a fantastic girl. Sure this lovely grey will find the perfect forever home.

Please Help! Chinese Crested Dog Lost
Swizzlestick replied to Kimissa's topic in General Dog Discussion
Baxter, why are you making this about the breed of dog? If you're not able to help or offer well wishes at least, why post at all? Here's hoping the injured owner, injured dog and lost dog are all OK. -
Sometime between 6am and 4pm on Monday. It was 11am today before we realised what had happend. I can understand how terrified and worried you are right now. Going on past experience (vet nurse) I'd say they'll be fine. You've caught it before symptoms have developed, and they're now both on Vitamin K. Sure they'll make a full recovery. Good on you for seeking treatment for them. We have alot of owners who assume no harm has been done after eating it, as they don't realise how rat bait works and don't see any signs. It's often not until the dog comes in collapsed and as pale as a ghost that the owners realise what is going on.

Fingers crossed that they will both be fine. When was the earliest possible time they ate it?

Haven't used one, but found this Here And This Same one - bottoms up leash, but this is an Australian site. Here

I ended up buying this one on ebay. Here It's not a very good photo, but I've seen these ones in other photos, and they look quite nice. If it's not what we want, the cats can have it, and Daphne gets another one

Thanks for the replies and links everyone. I have considered making one. When I mentioned this to other half, he just said pfft, just buy one already! The snooza one doesn't quiet look snuggly enough The top layer looks a bit too light like a sheet The cocoon from whippetwear is the one I really like The other one that is nice is This one. Hmmmm decisions decisions!

I have a whippet pup who used to get terribly sick in the car - until a few weeks ago. Someone else in the whippet forum suggested I put her down in the footwell. So, I put her bed down there, tucked her in, drove for 1hr 40 mins and NOTHING!! I was thrilled. Same again on the way home. Next day 1/2 hr trip with nothing. Third day just a 10 min trip and still no vomit. She is officially cured! I can now even give her breakfast 1/2 hr before we go anywhere too.

I'm looking for a sleeping bag for Daphne. I know whippetwear have great ones, but was looking to spend less than $190. Will if I have to though. So, if any of you DOLers have a sleeping bag specifically for dogs (rather than just a human one) I'd love to know more about it, and love to see some pics! Thanks. Sir WJ

Glad you've found something that will suit what you're after. ;) I thought all puppy schools have at least some off leash play? I think the problems occur when there are 4 or 6 or 8 pups put in a room together, varying sizes, ages and temperaments. It's often these times when a pup will be picked on by the others, often not deliberately, and this can have some serious consequences of the pup/adult dog. I've no problem with off leash play that is closely supervised by someone who knows the difference between play and bullying.

My Afghan Hound grew up very quickly. Very independent, problem solver, super smart. From about 6mths or so he was much more mature mentally than any dog of any breed I've ever met.

Was only trying to help you. It appears you don't even understand what I was trying to say. Did you read the post? I have no idea where to go in your area. ETA: You've now edited your post to take out the part saying you didn't want opinions on off leash play, just for someone to tell you where to take the pup! Why would you do that??
-
Personally, I don't recommend a puppy class that spends the majority of time off lead. This often ends up with "puppy bashing" and can lead to many problems for pups. Pups can socialise perfectly well on lead, and if there's need to break things up, it's quicker and easier with the lead on. I also wouldn't be taking a pup to any public place like the park/supermarkets/cafe etc until they are fully vaccinated. Never know what people are carrying on them. There are other ways to go about socialisation than public areas. Heck, mine are all well and truly vaccinated and I'm still picky about who touches them!

Does Anyones Elses Puppy Rise When The Sun Does?
Swizzlestick replied to aussielover's topic in Puppy Chat
My guys have to be dragged out of bed each morning. On the weekend, if I'm not taking them somewhere, they'll still be in our bedroom on the bed at 10am (as am I sometimes too ) Once they're up they are rearing to go, but they do like to sleep in, no matter how light it is. I do need to keep the curtains shut (although they dont block much light at all) so the dogs cannot see the kangaroos and ducks outside. -
My pup sleeps in our bed. Her breeder had her in her own bed, so that's where she has slept since the first day we've had her.

Too cute! What an adorable face he has
