Dick Van Pattens Or Eaglepack?
Pug Hugger replied to snarferama's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Sometimes, so what I do is soak the dog's food in water overnight - it puffs up to about three times it size! There you go premium food and doggy that thinks it has been fed enoguh - welll almost enough, we all know most dogs never think they have been fed enough! -
Sorry to hear that - just remember if you ever need to vent there are lots of people here willing to listen - and some who can hopefully help as well. I can only imagine how mad you are at the previous owner, and I do not envy you the hard decisions you have to make...

Which would be better? and is a full wing okay for the little man?? -
Hi all I am quite interested in what would be best for me to be feeding Louie. He is a twelve week pug and this is what he currently gets: Breakfast: Three Tbsp of soaked eagle pack, 2 tbsp Science Diet Puppy wet food and 1 tsp natural yoghurt Lunch: As above Dinner Three Tbsp soacked eagle pack, 35g premium mince, 1 tbsp SD puppy wet, 1 tsp natural yoghurt Today I gave him a little bit of carrot and he seems to like it - looking for opinions on what I could add to his diet - I do not really have the time to do full BARF but could easily add or substitue items...

Dick Van Pattens Or Eaglepack?
Pug Hugger replied to snarferama's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I am an Eagle Pack feeder - Louie is only a baby but he has a fantastic coat, he is beautiful and muscular, stacks of energy and great little poops (He is even doing them outside, yay!) ever heard of the other one but a family friend of ours was feeding Eukanuba and switched to eagle pack as her Weim was getting allergies, she has not looked back either. -
I feed Eagle Pack and I have not noticed any buring at all. However, being a renter I had the rocks from the start and Louie is only a baby so maybe his wee is not 'burny' enough yet.
-
Yes! There are rocks you can buy that neutralise the urine and should stop your lawn from dying - I pruchase mine through PetStock, you can also get them on ebay though
-
That was sarcasm direted at the OP - sorry did not mean to confuse!

At 12 months is when you should stop feeding puppy food ETA: As far as dry food go I am a huge fan of Eagle Pack
-
Don't you mean Unley Road? Angel Vet's in Adealide tend to operate only from Unley Road. ETA: People do not like being deceived. I actually contacted people about that border collie pup, now I have to call them and say that the puppy is not avaliable, any possibly does not exist...
-
i agree what a tough decision. if i had the finances and it was louie absoluetely. for a foster i could not justify it
-
Hi Kaos I have been higly recommended Colonel Light Vet CLinic on Springbank Road (just off of Goodwood) I am going there tomorrow morning for Louie's shots I will post here what I thought of them - they seem reasonable in price too.

Puppy Growling And Being Vicious When You Go Near It's Food
Pug Hugger replied to ZEUS's topic in Puppy Chat
Ever since I bought Louie home I have made him eat his dinner with my hand in his bowl. I dont do it every night now but he lets me pick up his food and take it away without getting vicious. We used to have the same problem with a BC and basically just sat right next to him while he was young and made sure he never got too protective or vicious. -
I am not a breeder but I know several people feeding Eaglepack - and their dogs, and mine, all look fantastic
-
glad this topic is here i was going to ask the same question today! louie has full blown acne, pus and all poor boy I am wiping his face daily with a baby wipe but cannot think of what else to do

What Breeds Can Be Used For Agility
Pug Hugger replied to chloebear's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
What a beautiful girl - she was so agile for her size! Would love a SB or BMD but OH says not dogs that potentially weigh more than me The Saint in that clip is a boy ;) He holds 18 agility titles, as well as numerous tracking and obedience titles. A great all-rounder dog! My bad - what a beautiful BOY, so agile for HIS size! :D thought the comentator said she - but then louie was snuffling in my ear when I was watchin go obviously not! -
lol if I was to stop three meals when Louie lost interest I would be feeding him 3 meals for the rest of my life (and prefebly more) sometimes I am sure I have purchased a piglet, not a puget!
-
I cannot help but to say I am so surprised. I grew up with two border collies (who are now 9 and 18 and still going strong) and I could not reccomend to anyone a better family pet (some that are is good, but none that are better;)) I hope you work out the best solution for you and your family, and I hope I never find myself in your position.

Pedigree Dog Food - Is It Good For Them?
Pug Hugger replied to Roxy_and_Missys_Mum's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I have hear pretty average things about pedigree and as someone said it is mostly water, fillers and junk - your dogs could certainly be doing better. I personally have louie on eagle pack dry (which i doak in water for him) and science diet wet with 25g of premium mince a day. He is only a baby but I fully intend on sticking to the diet - expensive but worth it for my little guy... -
