  1. I 100% agree, I had thought it many times before today, but he just had to prove it
  2. this neighbour drives me nuts, some how he made me feel like this was my fault. I can't blame the dogs, it was a small prey animal that they have never seen before that looks like food to them. I do't understand why he let it out of its hutch, if he know it can get through the fence.
  3. I can't believe it, my next door neighbour, who gives me the creeps. Just came and stopped my while I was mowing and said I think your dog is eating my daughter guinea pig. I went over to the dog and yep there is Theo, my daughters lab munching on the guinea pig. Neighbour says he got out early and went through the fence I was waiting for him to come back into my yard to catch him. I'm like WTF why didn't you tell me he was in my yard I could have moved the dogs to another run and caught it. Now I feel terrible that his kids will come home to find out the pet was killed bu one of my dogs.
  4. thanks guys, I jsut could not understand this behaviour from this dog. He is a sweet goof who loves everyone and just wants to play. well he wont get another chance to play with the puppy, which is a shame becaue he is a noce dog, a bit full on for my liking but a lovely puppy.
  5. Yes one of my daughters has a dog that I just can't stand. It is well trained and has been socialised but it has seperation issues and she treats it like a baby instead of a dog.
  6. it was a 16 week old puppy that was atacked by an older dog that has never had a problem with any other dog entering the yard. Also he had spent the day with another puppy of similar age but different breed. more just interested in how others have dealt with this sort of thing or if it is common for a dog to take an instant dislike to just 1 dog.
  7. Have you ever seen a dog attack to kill one dog or puppy, but love or ignore all other dogs and puppies. could it be the breed of the dog, that causes to dog to attack it. the attack was not provoked. the dog came from out of sight to attack as soon as he realised the dog/puppy was in the yard.
  8. Thanks for the info guys, I think you have all confirmed my thoughts in that it is only time know. He has been always been such a clown and always up for a play or swim. These days he lays on the bed outside and just seems to be watching. If you didn't know him you may not realise that there is anything wrong with him.
  9. Cross posted in Health thread also Caesar went to the vet yesterday as he had facial paralysis and drooling. The vet feels that it is either caused by a stroke as he is also blind in the left eye as well as the facial paralysis and head tilting. The vet offered to refer him to have a CT or MRI to diagnose whether it was a stroke or the less likely cause of a brain tumour. But after discussion we decided that finding out which one it is probably wont change the treatments at this time. so we opted for an intravenious cortisone injection and see if he improves. Apparently with a strokes we should see improvement within a week, but if it is a brain tumour he will probably go down hill fairly quickly (as the paralysis came on quickly) and there is very little that can be done for either a stroke and he should improve and no real treatment for brain tumours, except to keep him comfortable until his time comes. Caesar is and 8.5 year old Boxer and also suffers from pancreatitis and Chronic Renal Failure. He has also recently recovered from MCT operation. Does anyone have experience with either brain tumours or strokes, please tell me your story, or if anyone has any advice.

If you get really stuck mumof3 pm me and I will have the pup at my place for the night. I have a bit of a houseful so I cant put you and your family up but the pup could stay the night if you are stuck. there is a motel just down the road 10 minutes and we are not too far from the airport. the closest motel to me is the comfort inn at northgate, it is 2 minutes off the gateway and 10 minutes to the airport and max 5 minutes to my place there number is 07 3256 7222

  18. We headed home before the open show in the afternoon. Our ring had so much mud and water and it was just no fun at all. Glad I didn't enter for the sunday. Toowoomba is usually such a nice spot to show, you really have to feel for the Kennel Clubs at the moment trying to run shows under such difficult conditions. Odin also got bitten byut he green ants, so had to keep a close eye on him for ants on him. poor little man
  19. We are 1st group on so heading out around 6 from the northside to make sure we have problem time. see you all there
  20. Erin what time are you heading out to Toowoomba in the morning? Serena and I are meant to be going but I'm not sure with the roads and rain. any updates yet.
  21. This my little man who I'm hoping will do well starting in Baby puppy this weekend coming. Odin aka Willowbend Encore N Glory (NZ Imp)
  22. Does anyone know if there will be a show supplies van at the show. I need to find a light chain or suitable slip lead to show my baby in. Snag I hope your parents get their car home without any damage.
  23. Hi guys, anyone travelling up from Brisbane to Maryborough, allow extra travell time as some of the pothole between Gympie and MB are large enough to swallow a small house. My daughter went up last night and has major damage to her front wheels from hitting the potholes in the dark. be careful everyone and I will see you there as long as there is no more rain.
  24. thanks guys, I did try calling her the other day and was told she was down here, so fingers crossed it will get banked next week. here's hoping that the roads stay open so we can get there and back.
