lovemymutts, hope you are travelling has been safe and problem free. I had a look in saturdays paper and there were a number of jobs, including one for an animal assistant. I was surprised just how many jobs in the ballina and lismore area, were advertised. good luck with your job hunting

My daughter ans SIL bring there dog and cat with them a couple of times a year to visit, its about 17 hours each way and the dog is fine, they stop every few hours to let them out for a break. I would be taking with me, if you fly him he will either be sitting at an airport for hours waiting for you to pick him up or someone will have to take him to the airport to put him on the plane. what happens if you are delayed, would you have someone who could pick him up at the other end.

She, althought I had to be corrected on that myself - haha. She is so sweet, she was on the list of dogs I wanted to steal on the day, along with Nala and Raz - LOL. They were all great though. The only dog I wouldn't run off with would be Danny - I couldn't handle the drool there was drool, he was being good and staying clean, hardly drooled at all

love all the photos Daisy, Sophie and Lottie look so cute as do all the others. I hope you got the shots you need for your project.

that area has ticks so you will need to use advantix monthly through the winter and every 2 weeks in summer and check your dogs. job market there is slow, depending on what areas your skilled in. no idea on work available in animal areas but will check the paper next weekend when I'm down there if you like.

we are going to arrive early and take the dogs for a walk to get some energy out of them. It is really exciting. Danny had his bath today and brush him up all nice tomorrow before we head off. lovely park to walk around and so many dog friendly people, Nala had a lovely time today, we may need to add New Farm to our places to live list.

Please Help Us Settle A Little Disagreement
Caesars mum replied to mrs tornsocks's topic in General Dog Discussion
If he is sleeping in his crate outside and it is covered and under cover away from the wind and rain then he should be fine. If you are worried you could get him a coat for sleeping in. You might also like to raise his crate off the concrete or ground onto a pallet so that the cold does not transfer through to him. -
H I have just had a look at mine and on the inside of the tank there is a piece that it threads into. not sure if this has been glued to the inside or if it would fall into the bottom of the tank if you unscrewed the overflow valve. Not sure if there is another washer inside. turn off at the wall and have a feel around inthe tank, you may be able to find it, but will take 2 people to screw it back together if it has dropped into the bottom of the tank. you may just need a new o-ring. how old is your tank as o-rings do perish over time.

Spottychick, well done, I can recall reading some of your post erly on and was worried how you would all go. it is a great result inj a short period. keep up the good work, sounds like he is improving in leaps and bounds

Hi Rocco hope Red is ok I feed my guys large chunks of lamb flaps, turkey wings & necks and chicken carcuses. was he at a kennel with a number of dogs before you got him as this can be a cause for rushing to get their food down. this may settle in time when he realises he doesn't have competion for his food.

Grace it might be worth swaping and changing treats during a training session, so she works out that the cheese is for special treats, I usually try to have a couple of different ones in my treat bag so Nala doesn't get bored with the food. She is not highly food motivated either, although she hoovered up the cabinosi at training the other night. and remember most treats are high in fats so reduce her dinner if she eats more then a few in a session and keep training session to 5 to 10 minutes at home and always finish on a positive. Set her up so that you finish with something you know she will get right and then treat and play to finish the session so she learns to love training. you can do several sessions a day but keep them short.
