My lab turns one in a few weeks time and he still pees like a girl, must admit i am not really complaining, it looks pretty cute... he doesn't do anything in public either when we go for walks or dog school which is a relief hahaha

When we got our lab, we fed him on advance, that was what the breeder was feeding him on. Also was giving him some rice, vegies sometimes during the week. Now that he is almost 12 months we have changed his diet over with different foods... he is taking that well. Some advice is to mix some of the food with yoghurt, that is really good for them and it slows down the eating a little and a good source of calcium!! Anyway thats just my 2 cents worth... Whatever you do, be careful with giving them left overs... my husband gave our dog some chunky soup and he wasn't well at all!!

Archie just goes for hubbies sox and undies which is hillarious!! Doesn't go near my stuff hahaha Not good

Haha yeah Archie has nearly done in the sprinkler system, but not the hoses, the actual controls!! So we fenced it off!

I thought I would share this with some of you as I am sure a few of you have had problems with doggies pulling clothes off the clothes line as I have had for the past 6 months!!! I even stopped putting stuff on the line or when I did I had to crate him for that time while the stuff dried (lucky he loves his crate) My husband took him to dog school last weekend and there was a lady there that was talking to him about the dog. She asked whether we had problems with him taking washing off the line and he said YES!!! Anyway she said get two saucepans and hit them together every time he goes for the washing. I thought yeah right, as though that will stop him, i have tried everything else... :D WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A 11 MONTH LABRADOR HERE!!! Anyway, it looks like it is working, its got to the stage where i don't even have to make the big noise, he sees me with the saucepan and knows.... its probably just going to take a bit of time, but I think its going to be definitely worth it... ;)

Hmmmmmmmmm good idea, haven't thought of that one. might try that on the weekend!

Hmmmmmmmm I am going through the same problem. Archie is almost 6 months old and decided that pulling washing off the line was fun! I have caught him at it a few times and no matter what I do, he thinks it is a game. I talked to a lady here at work (she knows a lot about dogs) and she said unfortunately when I have washing on the line I will need to crate him. I did that on the weekend and that was fine. I even crated him for half an hour thinking maybe he has learnt his lesson but nuh after about 5 minutes he was at it again..... Luckily in the summer time it doesn't take long for things to dry. The funniest thing is he only takes my husbands stuff off and leaves mine alone. Not funny I know. She said that maybe when he gets a bit older like 1 1/2 years old he might grow out of it but we will just see. Will be a bit of a pain in the winter time!

Puppy Training In Bathurst?
bathurstgirl replied to bathurstgirl's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Well puppy went to his first training on wednesday night in bathurst with Dennison. They were quite good. He went really well socialising with the other puppies. Only had him for a week and he can sit, lie down, fetch and go on the lead ok. So pretty happy about that. Just have to keep him out of my pot plants!!! Anyone got any suggestions for that one lol -

Hi Everyone I am going to be a new owner for a little labrador puppy mid november. Was wandering if anyone knew of a good obedience/puppy school around Bathurst? Your advice would be greatly appreciated!!
