I show, and I'm on the committee & we work hard for our club shows ! Country shows need helpers, othewise no country shows. Most run on a shoestring and the assistance of a very tiny committee. It's nice on the show days when exhibitors who are there early or late, jump in & help with ring setting up or breaking down, or just pop over & offer their assistance after they've been on. I used to show and not help much, but I was nervous enough as a new showie without trying to think of the bigger picture !!! And not everyone is perfect for every job either, clubs should play to the strengths of their active members. It does annoy me when people jockey for committee positions in clubs, but are no-where to be seen when they are needed to work ! fifi

Thank you very much Oakway. fifi

Might be time to change the topic heading so the breeder isn't being flayed uneccessarily. She looks beautiful, good coverage and if you feed her in line with her exercise, she will build fitness / muscle and look even better. fifi

I can't open those files, they are really big for adobe files & they keep appearing as code only. Can someone please copy past the Toowoomba Royal one here ? fifi

There are a lot of very oversized chunky amstaffs, and maybe that was your mental picture of them ? I know the first correct one's I saw at shows, didn't resemble at all the tough guy chunked up blocky things that some blokes walked on chains in suburbia !! could just be an expectation thing too. from that pic she looks to be in good shape. fifi

Just saw this Monah, huge hugs and a virtual huge glass of your favourite tipple to calm the nerves. Sounding good with no symptoms at this point. You must be feeling VERY frayed by now. fifi, danny & hounds xxx

I'd wait until at least 18 months as well. At the clinic I work in, We do see some enlarged prostate in mature entire male dogs, so I really do recommend desexing. I've had one entire male of my own with enlarged prostate that ended up being cancerous :-( fifi

Calcium gluconate is designed for IV injection, IM or Sub cut can cause ulceration or sloughing. Its meant to be administered by vets only. Oral is the safest way at home if you are going that way. And it could be temperature based too. is she drinking enough fluids to keep her milk up ? chicken broth is great for keeping them drinking. eta; and yes, as Aloysha said, milk drinks too. fifi

Looking For Someone Handy To Make A Big Kennel
fifi replied to Danois's topic in General Dog Discussion
Not sure about down there, but the sheltered workshops often make special projects to order. We had several great kennels made here on a customised cubby house plan (without the veranda & cottage window or window flower box !!!!!!) The men's shed was a good idea too. fifi -
Only one thing to say to him....F'wit... fifi

Fantastic I'm in when entries open. They also have the bank account details for flood donations in the link :-) fifi

Personally, I'd just donate my entry fees to help support the club, who will be out of pocket for the judges flights, catalogues, ect. fifi
