My pup used to growl & tense up if I went near his food. I practiced giving him a treat & taking it off him. Eventually he worked out he would get it back. I have grand children and would not want an accident to happen. The older dog I have would rather be patted than eat so she has never been an issue with food. The pup will now let me take the food without any dramas

Try putting dog droppings in the holes that it digs along the fence............or any where else you don't want dug up. Also a balloon blown up 1/2 in the ground the bang will deter if you are lucky............heaps of toys and a big bone

I have 2 labs and I give them carrots and apples, they love them and hopefully help keep the weight down

This is interesting. I am thinking of doing tracking with my 4mth old lab. Looked at the showing but not too sure about that. How do you start? Is it with obedience classes? My Pup is a guts totally food driven so fugure he would do Ok at this?

I went and had a look at a dog show today for the first time. I took my pup to his first show training night last week........... He is a 4mth old lab. I have never done any showing and really have no clue. I unfortunately was very proud how quickley he had learnt to "sit"now I find out you don't teach a show dog to sit....so back to the start line for me.
