  1. I am get them in Sydney from http://www.petdeli.com.au/cms/DesktopDefau...amp;ItemID=3470 I think they deliver Australia wide. Anna
  2. This may help but I am no expert. Just a novice who's read as many books on dog behaviour as I could get. After 3 years of parenting 2 dogs I've discovered that fear of people/dogs may suddenly affect even the most beautifully trained and adjusted dog. There are things that we (primates) miss that are of vital importance to our dogs and may affect their behaviour. When this happens, it your patience, calmness and good dog-communication skills that will right the wrong. I've found Turid Rugaas book "On talking terms with dogs: calming signals" particularly helpful when we had to deal with the unexplained fear behaviour of one of our girls. Anna Edit: The problem lasted for about 3 months. She's been back to her perfect self for over 6 months. We still cannot identify the root cause of the problem.
  3. Holistic EP is suitable for puppies and adults - it's great. Anna
  4. This year is really bad - all areas are affected. We are about 8k from CBD (Nth Shore) and one of ours got a tick. Our neighbour found a tick on her cat and it's the first time (she's lived here 50+ years) that one of her animals was affected! Hopefully the tick drama will be over by mid March. Anna
  5. You have done well. You have put her need above yours. She is free of pain and discomfort. She had a wonderful life. I congratulate you for loving your dog enough to let her go. Anna
  6. Few things that have worked a treat for my itchy girls. 1) Eagle Pack Holistic biscuits 2) Malasep shampoo - fantastic treatment for any hot spots, etc. 3) Sardines 2-3 times per week 4) KELP!!!! (2 capsules per day) + fish oil capsules (1-2 per day). Good luck Anna
  7. Malasep is great. It will also help to prevent secondary bacterial and fungal infection
  8. I've given up on the Science Diet. Tried Natural Balance, but there is really v. little variety. Moved my ladies to Eagle Pack diet and never looked back! They love it and their coats are like silk. A
  9. Sounds to me that she is a good case for serious food supplements. You can get a variety of food supplements from your vet and I'd rely on their guidance. I've found the take-away bbq chicken to be the ultimate dog treat. In the meantime, I think that she is too scared to eat her meals. Perhaps, if you leave her and her food in a safe, quiet environment she might change her mind. Good luck!
  10. We tried steroids, herbal shampoos, etc. etc. etc This is what works best for my girl: Holistic Pack biscuits + daily dose of kelp and fish oil. No more itches or hot spots A
