  1. T you obviously have very interesting toilet breaks
  2. You ARE SO LUCKY! My nearly 90kg of dogs (3xbully) would most likely hide behind me and wait for me to 'bark' at the man.
  3. Not single but the primary care & entertainment provider. I work fairly long hours but OH works from home. I had 2 and life was soooo easy. Then came my foster failure no.3. IMO there is a huge difference between 2 & 3. Not sure about 3 & 4. I was minding my friend's dog at one stage (ie had 4) and did not find it any more challenging than having 3. The friend's dog has the best manners and gets along with my pack.
  4. I thought that greeing with a toy was 'normal' dog behaviour - all 3 do it here. Yes, - also have the fun policeman
  5. Have a look @ http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/223704-under-1-woof/
  6. Oh cement cat statues are very tempting and have to be put in their place My girl reacts to them every time. Yet, she is fine with real cats and has be-friended my sister's cat.
  7. Confused I am! Is this a generic statement or are you calling for help? If the first then you are preaching to the choir. If the latter then DOL needs more info.
  8. Squeeeeeee. Danger, Danger....Any more puppy pic and my maternal feelings will run riot! If I had space FM, I'd be camping at your door and nagging daily to get one of Frodo & Charm's bubs. They are so very special
  9. It doesn't mean they get more food Their daily portion is divided into 3 meals. Long time ago our vet suggested that 3 feeds x day is 'easier' on their digestive system. We've been doing it for over 7 years and it works well here.
  10. Ohhh! That must hurt. Poor lil Morgan. Healing vibes on their way.
  11. Congratulations Frodo's Mum, Charm and Frodo Divine little bubbas
  12. 3 x per day. Yes, I have adult dogs.
  13. The best thing ever for doggy smells. OK to use in front loaders too
  14. Lots of Huge Hugs from us. Good luck with the ops
  15. I would really like that! My sister's 2 beloved dogs (rotti and bullmastif) succumbed to this awful disease.
  16. I tend to think of 'behaviours' as manners. Easier to understand by a garden variety dog parent like me. If a dog is rude, it needs to know/be corrected. Enjoy your beautiful, loving and well mannered rotti.
  17. That is such a compliment To me this translates into - your dogs know how to ask questions and make a requests - you understand what they are 'saying' - being a loving 'parent' you agree
  18. So very sorry for your loss. Jack was gorgeous. Run free little man.
  19. Good Luck Fozzie. I'll be thinking of you and your boy. I am very interested to hear any news you wish to share. Your boy will probably get a pretty funky haircut for the procedure My baby did (hehe)
  20. Fozzie, do it! I'd go with Inevitablue's recommendation. Here it's day 12 post-op and my girl is getting better and better. She asked to go for a walk this morning and wow what speed - I had to slow her down! I am loving this.
  21. My dogs have short coats and I can readily see any bumps/lumps on them. I find that the feel-method is the most effective. About 2 years ago I found a very small tick using this method. My dog did not need any treatment (thank doG)
  22. My 3 have papa watching over them during the day. I walk them before work at 5am and when I get home 7/8 pm. I think they are quite content with the arrangement.
  23. A huge public THANK YOU to DOL member Inevitablue She has been absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable. She's provided active support to our vet and continues to be interested in my girl's well being. Background: My baby girl (7.5yo) has had stem cell therapy 9 days ago. It's early days yet but today she is smiling and seems pain free. BTW her problems were caused by us (not her breeder). She's should never have done so much high jumping, running like a greyhound and rock climbing. So ask away if you have any questions.... I'll share the 'owners' perspective.
