1. CC - the seekback problem is very common in UDX - the dogs become unsure - and keep checking the two articles - going from the correct to the incorrect to the correct one. Its like they lose their confidence. My boy will often stand over the correct article - almost waiting for a second signal to tell him he is right - of course the second signal is never forthcoming. Its a constant work in progress trying to rebuild their confidence. Bedazzled and I have gone back to putting the articles close together so it is easier for the dog to work out the right and wrong ones and occasionally we go back to only putting one article down and the moment they pick it up and start heading back to us - we have a party - but I feel your pain - welcome to the world of UDX! As a side note - we continued doing UD while doing UDX and the seekback problem flowed over to the scent articles as well
2. TO Jovi has only been doing agility for 5 minutes so to be in masters already is fantastic - well done. Well done Sue and Waldo and Disco Dobe - even better showing how versatile she is
3.

Well done TO - the winning was the icing on the cake - the rest was all plain fun
4. UK and Sweden were made category 3 a while ago, while Norway remained a Category 2, but that has now changed. So yep the reason why no more puppies from Norway.
5. Fantastic news but Norway is now a Category 3 country - which means no more puppies from Norway
6. Turn your head in the direction you are turning - this slightly turns your shoulders and gives the dog the message it needs.
7. Raising a glass to you and Ruby - Rubystar - she was fabulous today and you should be mighty proud - well done
8. whoops - sorry I missed all the brags from the weekend - well done Tassie, Xena98, TO and Ness. Dogs4Fun - I haven't seen you in here before - a UD title lots of blood sweat and tears for that one - think its the most frustrating class for having to retrain each of the exercises. Are you going to go onto UDX?
9. The stud dog can now add HWM (s) after his name after he passed two trials at the Perth Royal Show today. Good boy Strauss Mouse - hmmm well not so good boy -after he helped himself to to music CD and promptly chomped them into little pieces - causing me to do a mercy dash home to make another CD. Scoota also won both HWM intermediate trials. The dancing shoes are now being put back in the cupboard for a few more months
10. Well done Ness and Kenzie - great news that she could get out there today and have a go - and a terrific score too.
11. Thank you - all my kids heel like this but Scoota is extra special It doesn't happen over night but they start from 8 weeks of age being rewarded for looking at me and they very quickly learn that heel position is the bestest place in the entire world for them to be.
12. Congratulations Leah82 and it sounds like you already have a list of things to improve and get your kids ready for the next class. Well done
13. There sure is hope for you and it becomes addictive Well done and looking forward to hearing when he passes the next level
14. Its been a tough week and I waited until yesterday to decide that Scoota was well enough to go to the Royal - and bless his little cotton white socks he comes out and wins UDX and UD, 3rd in Rally Exc B and 4th in Adv B. His batteries are well and truely flat. Thinking its almost time to think about retirement........
15. Your girls are both on a roll CC and I agree with the judge - they are both so happy and a pleasure to watch - well done on a fantastic Royal Show.
16. Thanks for the run down on what was happening, the runs and the outcome and for your award - that is something very special. To Lablover 1st and 4th fantastic and well done FHRP
17. My Grand obedience champion was clicker trained from 8 weeks of age - just goes to show you what you can achieve
18. In a recent DOL thread it suggested getting them from ebay - which I did and I was really disappointed on the size on the antler chips and the fact that they sent me flat antlers - just a heads up in case you check out ebay. The previous antlers i got where large round ones probably 20cm long and they were fantastic and still going strong after 18+ months
19. I had a dementia moment and entered 2 of my kids at the royal at the beginning of October. I am trying to bumble my way through putting 2 routines together (1 x starters and 1 x intermediate) and it just isn't happening - poor dogs have a big handicap - ME! I do have music - thinking I should quit now while I am ahead.
20. Well done DesertDobes - I think your first performance dog is extra special. Looking forward to seeing you in here lots more times with many more brags.
21. Absolutely brilliant CC - well done - now can i come for dinner tomorrow night - sounds fantastic!
22. Huski - where can we find out more about Steve's online courses? how much they are, his training methodology and the course progression?
23. Oh come on Tumbleweed - that is only half a brag - she also finished second in the class with her Aussie Kite and had somebody else handling one of her dogs in stays. Fantastic result Tumbleweed - you have done so well with both your kids - one of them not being classed as easy to train either. I hope you celebrated BIG time last night
