Happy Birthday Rally Valley - I hope you have a terrific day
-
will swap for two Rb (reasonably behaved) children???? they are toilet trained Hmm after considerable consumption of 5th leg (wine) have decided the only way I could consider swap of OC's with RB's would be with a very LS (Large sum) of green notes. awww bahahahahaha they aint that bad some days rofl. goes to the monopoly kit i got lots of green notes Hmmmmmmmmm will leave final decision to bedazzled, the fact Rb's are toilet trained may be enough, after tonights effort or lack thereof of OC's....... Will you throw in a hotel and 4 houses, along with GN's (green notes) as an added incentive???

Why is it that I immediately start pondering if I have said anything I shouldn't Does that mean I am a bad person??? Tiggy - Bear is all grown up!!! Strauss came home last night - the final destruction count was..... A wallet a full bag of treats a tissue box a few shoes (always only one of a pair) and lots of plam branches So a good effort over 10 days! He won a few hearts and they have offered to have him again - so all is good

How do you have time to get home and then back down to K9 for vetting - mate I would be exhausted!
-
Yep me too

Craving sweet foods can mean you have low serotonin levels which can be helped by supplementing with Chromium (and this does work!!!)

What info do you want to know? I'll find out for you. Thanks for this Need to find out if the trial on (I would have thought it should have been in the last K9 Magazine) and perhaps a contact telephone number so I can ring and get some details on where to send entries, how much, judges for each class etc. OK I have the answer from K9 it has been moved to the 28th October 2011 so we all have a while longer to train

Does any body have any details on the Gun Dog obedience trial on the 10th April???

Good work kathq and Rally Valley - all this work will pay off in the long run

Nah sorry Cosmolo - Ness is the one to ask for videos. I teach my kids the flip finish but seldom do it in a trial - if I do it would be with Beans, usually because she has presented very crooked, and it is ugly VERY ugly. JulesP is this weekend the weekend you are trialling?? If so, good luck!!!!!

Yep judges don't like enthusiasm Truly, it's so hard to keep a straight face - we were showing off to Mr TSD last night and he was nearly in tears How much would I get pinged for an over enthusiastic finish do you think? And what are the traps for flip finishes in the ring - I think they look lovely. hard to say and would depend on what level and the judge, but could be 5 if it was really ugly. The traps, as Ness said some judges just really don't like em. My pet hate - no matter what finish you do is the exaggerated signal!

Bless the oldies...... I took my old girl Lara to training last night. Her face lit up when I asked if she would like to come in the car and then when I took her outside she even managed to jump in the back of the car. Then each time I took her out for a walk at k9 she was wide eyed and bushy tailed, trying to offer heelwork, playing touch with Rally Valley, and always checking out our pockets to see what treats we had. I thought she would be buggered when we got home, but no her and Cider decided to play ball. It was interesting to watch Cider sitting back not dare trying to take the ball off Lara when she had it. It was very evident that Lara is still the boss. She is very lame, but she still had plenty of get up and go. Lets hope she doesn't lose that sparkle for a long time yet

A little pat on the back to Rally Valley who tonight brought Toby back to training and I could see a HUGE difference. She knew his limitations and how to handle situations when he wasn't responding and in the end she had him in the middle of the oval with dogs all around and he was paying attention to her and nothing else. Well done mate Keep up the good work.

when she gets over the line - there will definitely be cake

Tollersowned - I feel your pain Toller boy with implant has mated toller girl in the past. An ultrasound confirmed that the bitch was not pregnant - whew! My toller boy (steralized at 7 months of age) has tried to mate toller girl in the past and ended up at the vet when his penis shaft wouldn't stop bleeding. No lesson learnt from previous experience and with girl currently throwing herself at anything with 4 legs, all the steralised boys are very very interested and given half a chance would give her what she is asking for. I sent my 10 month old entire male for a little holiday - he comes back next week. Figured it was easier on everybody.

Wow look how happy he is Rally Valley As the others have said.....by carrying the ball in your left hand you are encouraging him to forge and to come across your body which will result in crabbing and by throwing the ball forward you are again encouraging him to heel too far forward. You will see a lot of obedience people (those who reward with a game of tug) heeling with a tug toy tucked down the back of their pants - this is to stop the dog from doing the above. The advantage of using food is that you can mark and reward when the dog is in heel position rather than encouraging them to break heel and then rewarding. His line up has improved since I last saw him.

Gees CC it must have been tough. Strauss is on holidays for 10 days, 20 minutes from me, and I feel like I have lost my left arm. Good luck at the Poodle Nationals
