Everybody give your kids a cuddle...... the last 24 hours have been very tough.... Moo hasn't been well and is down to 18kg - bloods show that he has liver failure, anameia and jaudice - his enzymes are through the roof and they are amazed he hasn't collapsed or had seizures. All other bloods results were normal. So last night we started IV antibiotics and today he had IV fluids and a liver ultrasound. He doesn't have cancer WHEW. So this now leaves two possibilities Hepatitis or toxicity (poisoning). Cannot tell without a biopsy which one it is. Being conservative for 5 days - he is on a low protein diet and antibiotics and will be retested on Wednesday. If his enzymes have gone down we know it is poisoning. If they are still through the roof - then it is more likely hepatitis of some sort. He sleeps a lot and he has a beautiful shaved tummy and right leg, but at least I have him as a sleeping partner for a bit longer xx

He has anaemia and is dehydrated, so bloods will hopefully give us a clue as to what is going on. His get up and go has gone and he spend lots of time sleeping and the biggie - he is off his food
-
Just back from the vet with Moo and now I have to wait for blood results. I don't do waiting very well.

LOL it can't possibly have been agility that you were amazed . Make sure you come and say hi - I am running Lexi on Sunday - god help both of us, so I will be the one bent over and puffing madly
-
Yep hugs RnH - and the flip side - well done to you and Joelle's son on passing - Woo Hoo WX - I am behind the times .......are you expecting??????? Joelle - I will be at the agility trial
-
I teach turns and then build duration - but I don't do turns while doing duration ........hmm no wonder my dogs get confused

It sounds like she is not reading that you are halting. Make sure you are stopping on the same foot every time. Some people cue a sit by taking a slightly slower last step before stopping or a shorter or longer step. The other things to remember is that when you reward a halt it should be straight down your left leg and not infront where she might be sitting. This will encourage her not to stop forward of your leg. :D

LOL - I say this often!!!!!

I will make sure I say Hi - its sure is a long way to come. Any reason why you aren't coming too??

Wow glad to be of assistance Tassie - now if it was only that easy to pass UDX! Well done on your Rally results. Raising a glass to TSD and Ziggy - a novice title and a great way to finish it off - well done HUGE congrats to Caffy and Snazzy who this arvo took out open jumping at the State titles - it was a super run which would have been even faster if Snaz had a start line stay and didn't start the timer running with his nose before Caffy was ready!!!!!!!!!! Well done mate

LOL I have done this too with the dumbbell. Don't fall into the trap of giving a second signal to fetch! You need to break it off line them up again and give the release command again. Bloody tollers way too smart for me!

YOu were a star - good luck for the finals tomorrow

Its 3.25AM last check of the training thread before heading to the airport. Last nights session was terrific, but then it usually is when you are using a truck load of food. Interesting, that for the last week I have seen cracks in the Cider armour - hmmmm - so repair work will be on the agenda when we get home. Good luck to everybody trialling this weekend.

Just wondering where your shoulder position is if Cindy is consistently lagging 30cm. Any chance of posting another video for us to have a look?? Good luck on Sunday. Debazzled and I fly off into the sunset tomorrow - but we should be back chatting away on Friday
-
I will raise a glass to you Mirawee - a 11 point BOB is certainly something to celebrate. Rally Valley - rule number 1 - do not throw balls for your dog - OK sermon over Wish us luck - Bedazzled and I flight off to Sydney tomorrow for the Royal. Comp is on Thursday and then we are home in time for agility this weekend.

Well done Emery it would be a terrific feeling having your dogs do so well in a speciality. I am guessing the speciality was on the bottom oval at K9 - there was sooooooooo much food on the ground and soooooooooo many smells that it made training tough there this morning :D and then to top it off - we had the magpies come for a visit. Its hard when you place a piece of food on a food pot, go to send the dog to it - and the food it stolen my the magpies - LOL all you can say to the dog is too bad you weren't fast enough....try again
-
So close and yet so far Kathq. It really does sound like a case of being super happy with her work even though she didn't pass - hang in there - the first pass will be poetry in motion!!!!

What a nice round Wuffles you should be tickled pink. Yep your dog does lose focus on about turns - so put those on your homework list, but all the rest looked great Have to also comment on the SFE - its sure was't easy with the judge going over the top of the dog from almost front on - not sure if he had done more patting whether your dog would have stayed there or not - but at CCD level I thought that was a bit tough by the judge :D Something for you to try for your next training session ...and then you can write back and say yep I tried it and hated it Carry your lead in your left hand. You can still give stand signals with the lead in this hand and it looks sooooooo much neater. back in my box again......but you should be stoked ;) and you will do well in novice ;)
