  1. I am a member of SR but not ever been in a class . There is no training during school holidays - so classes resume when school does and run for a term. I think there is usually a graduation night the last Monday of term which, if you pass, you move onto the next class. They also run beginner agility classes on a MOnday night - but sorry not sure if there is a minimum age or an obedience requirment to attend. Perhaps PM Ruski as she is the full bottle
  2. Did you notice how many stewards there were and I love the scoring at the end of the exercise.
  3. The World Obedience Championships were on in Paris last weekend. This dog placed 2nd overall and bits (the tail wagging, distance control and the inbetween exercises) reminded me so much of my Scoota :D Interesting to watch the different exercises and the fact that judges hold up scores after each one.
  4. Kallistar is sit the only verbal you use in PIM? Good luck for your weekend trial - I have my fingers and toes crossed for you. I spread toys all over the ring last week and did a UDX round. I have also started sending to the cones from not straight in front. Cider is in open and is yet to get a pass, but I will start her on seekback using 2 one that smells like me and a decoy from the word go. This week I have introduced her to stand on a verbal and a signal - lets just say....we have a long way to go with that. I have also started throwing the leathers out and then giving her direction and she loves this game and is taking a very straight line. and I wil do some more about teaching her to sit on a mat for cones.
  5. I haven't trailled since I was in Brisbane and next weekend is a double country trial which I am not doing but Bedazzled is - so fingers crossed for a pass for her and Brookie. MY training is going well though - does that count?
  6. A pass is a pass and ANY UD Pass is extra special A terrific effort and I know your mum will be a happy camper ;) Well done to you PS - I hear you are going to buy her any toy she wants - so whats it going to be??
  7. Jules my girls have done this in the past on the judges command and I just shake my head and think OMG how smart are they, (well I actually think smart little cow) but what gets me is that they always get it right and it is usually a beautiful turn on their part
  8. Hats off to you and Rory, Tassie - thats a great effort and like you said, the first of many letters after his name No more bike riding for a while now ;)
  9. Well done Murve - great to hear all your hard work is paying off :D
  10. Well done Wuffles - so did you lose the points or did Ava?
  11. 12 boys to choose from wow Carey J when will you know if he is yours or not. It is exciting
  12. CC if you happen to be in Southern River I am still after a group photo ;)
  13. Yep Chevy has allergies too and so does the sister but not as bad as Beans. Hmm will try for a photo over the weekend.
  14. LOL Chevy is improving with age - I think by the time he is 15 he might just be OK! He is the feral uncontrolled ADHD child, but he has actually learnt a lot from the others since mum has moved in. I also have Scoota's brother, Dekka. Dekka was my dads dog, and was the perfect companion while my dad was battlng cancer. He has his novice obedience title, but was never going to cope with out of sight stays, so we didn't go any further. Interestingly, he hasn't forgotten any of the training and can put in a lovely open round minus the stays. He has a similar nature to Scoota, but is a totally different build :D , and thankfully no longer looks like a coffee table
  15. Chevy bless him - I always pick on him for being the untrained one - but he was first down the hall and yep his bark was very convincing and he made it out the doggy door in milliseconds. I don't think I would like to take him on. I like the sign idea Ness.
  16. Handbag and purse were stollen, but nobody was harmed which is good - the missing things can be replaced. Yes the dogs do sleep inside, daughter only went to bed 15 minutes earlier - so they were obviously waiting........ Dogs go to bed with me though so they wouldn't have been seen, but they were certainly heard. Interesting the different bark they all came out with - I was out of bed in seconds.
  17. We were robbed last night 2.15am BUT think they got a big fright when 8 dogs appeared from nowhere all wanting a piece of the intruders. Police were there less than 10 minutes later Forensics coming later.......
  18. You can call it your little tollermobeel as it is the same colour as a toller
  19. Yep there is the potential for little Soggy/Strauss babies in the future ;) A Mini Cooper - what colour??? They don't take up a lot of room
  20. I entered the Royal on line. Had an issue yesterday with not being able to enter 2 obedience classes, emailed them and it was fixed today I had the x-rays done at Applecross and sent them to Rawlinson in SA for reading. I have his information and the sheets you need to fill out if you decide to use him. Reading costs were $100 for hips and elbows. I posted the x-rays last Wednesday and the results were emailed last night with a note they were being posted today.
  21. Nah sorry didn't get the mat thing on video and it is probably too late now as he knows the game and I have already faded it. Maybe Bedazzled can get a video of Zac?? Duration work is next on Strauss's agenda starting tonight ;) Food thieving Demon Bitch - hmm I've got a couple of those! LOL
  22. What is the next step with the mat now? Fading it? It has already been faded
