Last trial of the year last night and no UDX pass BUT I had one very happy boy out there who did his seekback with minimal fuss. He did find the correct one to begin with, went to pick it up and then left it and searched for the decoy, found that acknowledged that it wasn't correct and went back and got the right one, so all the hard work we have been doing seems to be paying off. In UD he also did a beautiful seekback - so hopefully we are on the right track. We ended up missing the sit in the PIM - my fault - maybe.....and then the blind retrieve STOOPID exercise - I got leather # 2 twice when I should have got 1 and 3 but if they mark on attitude last night he would have got a perfect score - bless him. The kids are now on 4 weeks holiday - they were each given a Clean run toy after the trial and there has been non stop squeaking ever since
-
I think I should get a commission on i-squeaks as I feel I am responsible for lots of them being in Oz LOL
-
Its funny, while the other kids are swapping toys, Cider has not strayed from the small i-squeak ball - they are her all time favourites. Hmm maybe I need to buy some more............Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
-
Wow my Clean Run order arrived today and its 11.50pm and I have just opened it and we have a squeak fest happening. We chose a toy for each of the kids and they went wild. Hmmmm I don't have the heart to tell them its bed time now. RV I ordered the stick in the ground weavers and I am happy with them. Maybe the pointee end could have been a bit longer - but for how much they were - they are good value.

Last obedience trial for the year tonight and it was Rubystar's night - well done mate - you should be mighty pleased with both your girls Bedazzled took out UD - good boy Brookie Mason got his CD title tonight - so onto open you go - well done Candice. Maureen and Jasper the pap got their CCD title - this is a little dog with lots of attitude - and everybody loves him For me Strauss won CCD and this is his title Moo was 2nd to Brookie in UD BUT the best part was his attitude and the fact that I got 2 happy seekbacks - 1 in UD and 1 in UDX - a nice way to finish the year.
-
RV I have ordered them, but they haven't arrived yet.
-
A heads up - another car was broken into and the window smashed at K9 last night
-
Here's one of them Ptolomy - the first by the sounds? Woo Hoo you are a star Amypie - just hope this is in the qualifying time frame we need it to be in
-
See that's the hard part - think he won 2 or 3 puppy in groups, but I can't remember which shows - and there was only ever him and Cider entered, so you can't tell from the BOB certificates, and not having done this before I never thought to put a tick on the card for future reference.
-
Sure made getting out of bed and the drive well worth it
-
Mate - I have to sell the house I think to pay for all my entries - I didn't see it mentioned - will have to borrow Bedazzled's reading glasses next time I pretend to be reading my magazine . I am actually trying to get some weight off my boy, so hoping he will not be in "show" condition come March. He is also eligible to enter Puppy of the Year - but I stumbled at the first hurdle when it asked to name the show he won the class in to become eligible - buggered if I know......
-
a BIG thumbs up Emery - enjoy Cloud 9 for as long as possible - gives you bragging rights until at least the next show Think its about time you posted a photo of the boy

Retrieving & Field Training Talk
Ptolomy replied to RubyStar's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I heard on the grapevine that they will be holding 2 RATG's in WA in 2012 - the first is in January . Can anybody confirm this? and while I know we don't have many judges I can't believe January was chosen and the month to debut this sport in WA as the average temperature for January would be 36 degrees ++. Please tell me I am wrong...... -
Woo Hoo drinks are on you and Ziggy TSD You have both had a terrific year - well done on finishing it off with 2 titles Pity you don't live in WA or we would be demanding cake at training this week
-
My order was shipped today
-
OK I have changed my mind - the girls are staying - planets were aligned tonight and training was much better .
-
LOL - shhhhhh Livertreats - I am trying to keep my bad handling a secret The package deal includes Cider and Beans is the equivalent of a free set of steak knives
-
Murve you have had a terrific year regardless of if you pass at the next trial or not - so take a deep breath and enjoy it Meanwhile - 2 duck dogs and 1 Aussie Shepherd going very cheaply - combine postage for a good deal
-
Oh the duck dogs WILL be happy
-
$230 worth of toys for me - bugger the dogs!
-
Caffy and I had an encounter with an unknown person this morning at K9 - minding our own business on the bottom oval - the only 2 cars at K9 and a male came up and parked next to our cars. We hightailed it back to the cars and locked everything and just stood there until he took off. We got his number plate and have given it to Bevan - very creepy. It was a white older model commodore and yes the driver was dark skinned.
-
Gees lots of nice brags for the end of the year - well done everybody. Cleo J three titles in three months a terrific effort. Amypie can't believe Trixie has her JD title already - she has only been trialing 5 minutes Onto excellent you go......
-
Hey Cleo J I see you in the brags thread - well done on your title
-
Well done mate - now I need to talk to you about Beans scoring 0 for the seekback last night - I think she actually should have scored less than that - little witch ;) I know you weren't feeling terrific last night - so I take my hat off to you. You were put under a lot of pressure and to have the stealing incident happened and the police show up - you really did a good job in keeping your head. PS - Lexi's tail was still wagging when she got home - you would have thought she had won lotto being able to do the last 2 exercises and the stays with another handler. Good luck for your first appointment and as I said on Facebook........ Hopefully you will get yur UDX title a little quicker than our boys did
-
If you are at K9 make sure your car is locked at all times - tonight money + alcohol + stuff from cars was taken.
