  1. Bedazzled told me what happened and she spoke so highly of your boy, You will learn a lot over the two days - looking forward to meeting you
  2. A heads up for people in WA. Kamal Fernandez is coming to Perth for the first time. I have done some on line courses with him. An Obedience workshop with Kamal Fernandez October 17th and 18th 2015 Kamal's training methods are widely recognized for producing dogs with exceptional attention, accuracy and enthusiasm for their work and we are lucky enough to have him here in WA. 3. Rubystar Pippa will be fantastic to watch A seminar update will be sent in the next 2-3 days
  4. I made the occasional appearance in the old thread and I am still here on and off now. Currently down to 7 kids. Scoota, Chevy, Cider, Strauss, Naughty Nina, Minnow and Cozzi the Aussie. Obedience is our thing, but this year have come back out for a play in agility. Simple - you have the Ballooning Championships on in Northam this week. I have seen photos - it looks spectacular.
  5. Unfortunately for you it's Gold Coast, Adelaide, Perth and NZ.
  6. I have done some online courses with Kamal and the puppy I did it with is my best heeling dog - which is a big call since all my kids heel well I am really looking forward to the seminar - 6 weeks to go, but who is counting

  8. I had one dog on it and another started yesterday. Today he developed vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, lethargy and burping which are listed as side effects. At the vet yesterday I asked about getting a script and buying it online and was told that they wouldn't do it because I had no idea what I was buying and the quality of the product. I also asked about a human equivalent and the vet didn't know of one. He did say that once the patent expired it should become cheaper, but usually patents are for 5 years and this product has been out for longer than that - which wasn't very helpful. Sadly my other dog on Vetmedin was pts yesterday
  9. One of mine had wounds recently on her elbow and front legs and the vet recommended Solosite, which worked really well. She did have to wear a bucket for a few weeks to stop the licking.
  10. Friend with Addison's dog gets script from vet and fills it at the pharmacy
  11. If you are a breeder, the breeders club sell Coastal Catch for $90 a bag
  12. My allergy girl does well on EB Coastal Catch and I have now joined the breeders club - and prices are really good. It did take over 2 weeks from ordering for the bags to arrive, so next time I wont wait until the last minute to place the order.
  13. Looking forward to seeing what Ginny gets up to over the coming years.
  14. A great day out - well done Do you have your masters titles??
  15. Fabulous work Superminty - a champion title in any dog sport is fantastic - well done Last weekend I entered the kids in the state Agility titles and bless his cotton socks my little stud dog came out and won the novice jumping final Good Boy Strauss Mouse. Today Naughty Nina won advance A rally trial and is mixing it with the big kids in obedience
  16. I imported a 12 week old male puppy from Norway nearly 5 years ago, prior to the quarantine rules changing and Norway becoming a Cat 4 country. Total costs for pup, airfares and quarantine was between $8500 - $9000. 2 years later I imported a 2 1/2 year old female from Norway - she had passed all her health clearances and had a litter on the ground and I didn't have any change out of $9500. Why did I do it - the gene pool was so small and breeders kept using the same males over and over, compounding health issues. I liked what I saw in Europe so I thought it was money well spent. 5 years down the track - it was definitely money well spent and I don't regret my decision one bit.
  17. And I was lucky enough to see it It was a cracker of a round and everybody stops to watch you in the ring. Love her to bits. Well done mate
  18. What a versatile little man you have. Well done on your first obedience title
  19. 2 weekends ago I had been out for a couple of hours, had come home and I was sitting on the lounge which I never do, watching TV and I looked up and there in the back room was a snake. I called all the dogs and was madly counting them, closed the door, turned around and the snake was gone. It took me 30 minutes to find a snake catcher that would come out and then a further 30 minutes for him to turn up. Meanwhile I was watching the dogs not knowing if they had been bitten or not I was told to sprinkle flour around the door so we could tell if the snake left the room. When the catcher turned up I explained where I thought the snake was hiding and of course it wasn't there. He hunted for 5 minutes and I thought he was starting to think I was nuts, and then he found it. It had climbed up the wall and was sitting in the window track - 1m dugite.
  20. Well summed up Jules P - I think you covered things very well. I have had a dog with a liver shunt (ended up being pts at 16 months of age, was doing ok on low protein diet and one day the family came home and found him banging its head into walls) and another with liver failure (at 7 years of age and is still with us at 11).
  21. That is a lovely photo. She was so spoilt and knew just how to get what she wanted from you. No wonder you feel a big hole at home right now Lovely to see so many posts saying so sorry she is no longer with you.
  22. A special girl who found a loving home where she received the best of everything, and not just one of everything, there were very often several more in the cupboard. I was lucky enough to see Ness compete and to spend time with her. She taught you a great deal and she was your best friend. My heart sank when I received your message this morning. Run free Ness and may there be an endless supply of food for you to fossick for. Hugs mate
  23. Its nice when the Eastern States judges come to WA and comment at presentations on the quality of heelwork in all classes. The standard here has gone up a notch and its now not just one dog in a class that everybody stops to watch, but most dogs in a class can put in some very impressive enthusiastic work.
  24. Have only just seen this - fantastic result TSD So good to see the non recognised agility breeds reaching the very top of the sport *chink* to you and Ziggy
